Also, while I've got some hardware that's very, very old also, you could probably benefit from a hardware upgrade. Yep, I am considering an internal pcie for my desktop....

RE: With 20 years of Vegas experience, my perspective on Vegas Pro 23.
and there's no cross-financing via hardware, so you can't "give away" the software. That was the benefit of the Sony days, you got Vegaspro as a free gift when purchasing a Sony Camera. That's how I came to Vegas. That's exactly how I got started.

RE: VEGAS Pro 23 build 302 General Discussion
Since I upgraded to Build 302, the application crashes as soon as I finishes loading. Just after the welcome screen displays. This was occuring on the beta version and as well on the newly released version. @DCrowe Did you press anything after

RE: Vegas using a single core for rendering?
If I use hardware encoding and then put mask and feather on the first section of project I get something similar to your CPU core use because Vegas feather is so bad (isn't it time for that to get upgraded?) It looks more like a plugin processing

RE: NewBlue Video FX now in Trial Mode
@jetdv - "VE6 did come bundled with Vegas Pro 13..." I have been using some version or other of Vegas since... around 2006, back when it was still Sony Vegas (and I was transferring video from MiniDV)! And I do specifically remember purchasing

    RE: Secondary Preview
Got it, never used a 4K screen with any version of VEGAS. I would say that for such modern hardware a newer version would take fuller advantage of it (GPU-supported decoding/encoding) as well as support such screens with high DPI modes. i will

Best Asus ProArt Monitor in 2025 | Expert Guide
I researched the best Asus ProArt monitors over the past few days because I am planning to upgrade my setup for both creative work and casual use. I read reviews on PCMag, RTINGS, and Tom’s Hardware, and they all seem to highlight these two as top

RE: VEGAS PRO 22 HAVE THE WORST AV1 DECODING: CHROMA SUBSAMPLING 4:1:0
@RogerS Can only measure and compare decoding quality as reflected in a render. Visual involves a lot of other things like the monitor, display adapter, its connection, sync, resolution, and rgb pixel conversion settings, for instance. Playback for

RE: Vegas 22 Pro - HDR still unusable (for me)
Would be great if Magix could implement new features or codec/hardware support without taking a wrecking ball to the existing feature set. This unfortunately is the curse of working with a 20+ year old code base... turn a wrench here, a spring flies

Is There Any Hope Left for VEGAS Stability? Considering Leaving VEGAS
Hey everyone, I’ve been a long-time VEGAS user—going all the way back to version 12—and for many years the software was rock-solid. Back then, it felt stable, fast, and reliable: no lag, no crashes, no strange glitches. Unfortunately, things started

RE: [Closed] Help me buy my new PC : please render this 1-minute project on yours!
For hardware power comparisons please see the benchmarks in my signature. You can change the view to only see NVIDIA, etc. So at position 198 there's a person using i5-9400F and no GPU, and their render time = 1:30. And at 184 there's a person with

.... the paid version, not the trial. As for the performance issues, I'm pretty confident going forward, that the fine tuning of the video engine will continue to improve. I think of when VP22 was released. The usual issues were posted. But by the

    Render speed improvements 👍👍
For a long time I used (MMS) Magix Movie Studio (formerly Movie Edit Pro), I upgraded to VP18, 19, 20, 21 & now 22. For quite a while I still used MMS to render quick simple projects because the Infusion engine was 3-4 times faster than VP, but

Glad you found a solution, but curious as to which driver version you are using? 24.9.1 is the latest listed. From my understanding, the Polaris cards are EOL (end of life) without any more driver updates. Like @john_dennis, my RX480 has been in the
