RE: Render uses just about all my CPU
Well, I just tried recording in OBS with HEVC and dropping the bitrate down as to put less strain on my hardware and I got what I was fearing, a stuttering mess. I had thougt with the upgrade to an R7 5800x and RX6700XT that my hardware would be

RE: VEGAS PRO 22 HAVE THE WORST AV1 DECODING: CHROMA SUBSAMPLING 4:1:0
@RogerS Can only measure and compare decoding quality as reflected in a render. Visual involves a lot of other things like the monitor, display adapter, its connection, sync, resolution, and rgb pixel conversion settings, for instance. Playback for

RE: [Closed] Help me buy my new PC : please render this 1-minute project on yours!
For hardware power comparisons please see the benchmarks in my signature. You can change the view to only see NVIDIA, etc. So at position 198 there's a person using i5-9400F and no GPU, and their render time = 1:30. And at 184 there's a person with

RE: GPU makers AMD and NVIDIA are finally solving their audio issues
Thank you for your suggestion Reyfox. I have been migrating hardware and installing new software mainly focused on my audio work and only secondarily for the seldom video tasks I do.As part of the former, I was considering an upgrade of motherboard

Render speed improvements 👍👍
For a long time I used (MMS) Magix Movie Studio (formerly Movie Edit Pro), I upgraded to VP18, 19, 20, 21 & now 22. For quite a while I still used MMS to render quick simple projects because the Infusion engine was 3-4 times faster than VP, but

RE: VEGAS 22 RENDERING ERROR
I just installed the new Vegas 22 and I'm having trouble rendering projects over 1GB. VEGAS simply stops rendering at around 70% rendering and simply closes automatically. I have converted all the files into different formats and nothing

RE: Render freezes - I have tried EVERYTHING
I highly doubt it's a hardware issue and wouldn't advise trying to upgrade to fix it. See if the projects in my signature render with the recommended settings and then we can take a look at your media/project. For this purpose keep dynamic ram

Whoa - updated hardware changes everything
Longtime Vegas/Movie Studio user, first time poster on the forum. I'm a hobby video guy, mostly with outdoor action sports type stuff, a mix of action cam, handheld, and fixed cams. I just updated my PC hardware after ~8 years or so, and after

RE: What is the fastest operating system to run Vegas Pro 19
@Reyfox Yeah, that's the big mistake many users make. They upgrade Windows OS, but not their system hardware. You cannot upgrade Windows on the very same old hardware and expect to see big changes and improvements.

RE: New AMD RX 7600 XT not fully recognized by VP 20.411
What I think that some people question is, when my past GPU would be used close to 100% and my new GPU isn't even close, why. My old RX480 would be extensively used in rendering, sometimes at 100%, yet, the more recent RX 6700XT rarely approaches

RE: Video glitch/blocks during standard cross-fade, 1080p .MP4 AVC footage
Glad you found a solution, but curious as to which driver version you are using? 24.9.1 is the latest listed. From my understanding, the Polaris cards are EOL (end of life) without any more driver updates. Like @john_dennis, my RX480 has been in the

RE: Vegas Error : Could not start scan server VST2-SCANNER-64bit
This error appears after upgrading "your" computer hardware. If it was happening for everyone, it would have already been reported and fixed by now. Yours seems to be a less general problem, so you can begin your troubleshooting here with peer forum

RE: Vegas Pro 21 Crashes
Can you share MediaInfo for the main media you use? What model is your GPU exactly? What build of VP 21 are you using? The latest 315) or the last one before major changes (208). Depending on the media and hardware you may have better luck with 315

RE: Vegas Pro 21 Crashes
When upgrading RAM, did you remove the existing RAM card and replace it with 2 new identical 8GB RAM cards or did you just add a new 8GB RAM card to augment the existing 8GB RAM card? If the latter, do the specs of the new RAM card match the specs

In reverse.... you are, at least to my knowledge, the only one with this problem. I have updated all along and never an issue getting things rendered. So is it a bug? I don't know. I can point to your CPU not being recommended. That's hardware. But

I want to say that, whilst I’ve had no experience with Intel’s latest hardware, apart from 15 years ago when I had a HP Pre-built with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU with an NVIDIA GT 430 1GB vRAM (upgraded to) and 4GB of total system DDR2 RAM
