OT: Primera Offers Free Software To Bravo Owners
I know some of you own disc publishers and I thought I would pass this along. I just got it in the inbox today. Sounds interesting but I don't have an mp3 player! Dear Friend of Primera:

OT: HP Tech Support says I'm lying...
Hey: As per the info on this forum, I went out and got an HP Photosmart C5280 All-In-One Printer/Scanner/Copier. I primarily wanted it for disk printing. I just had the most outrageous experience with HP Tech Support. Problem: Digital Photos on

RE: Venting: Sony Support
"I think we're in a day and age where they would rather us figure it out using online troubleshooting or using a forum. " Some problems cannot be figured out because they are bugs. All software companies, pragmatically, have to ship their products

RE: Venting: Sony Support
I tend to feel that to some degree, most companies rely on the forums or other online means of getting other users of their products to help out. Granted, I'm grateful for most forums and the internet has made getting answers to problems so much

RE: Sony, Your customer support sucks
Yep, I definitely have to agree. For someone who has been in the same situation as Patrick, I can fully relate. What makes the situation with Sony so bad is they give you a double whammy. First, they require activation, which I've had problems

Flash - H264 - Video over Cell phones
Hi, I have been sort of out of the technology fray lately. I just got an email from Sorenson saying that now Flash Players support H24. What encoders are people liking for H24? How are the results? Are file sizes bigger than say a similar Flash

RE: Encoding MPEG4 in vegas 8?
I'm not using h.264 because most phones don't use it. What I need to do is encode one file that will play back on most phones (which use the older mpeg4) as well as portable media devices (most, but not all, of which support both). This is not for

RE: Burn BluRay from timeline hangs
Somehow I didn't realize until just now that by owning V8 Pro, I got 60 days of phone tech support! How awesome is that??? And I got my answer, too. Whatever the estimated size of the rendered file will be, the temporary folder needs to have 4-5

RE: VIDEO WILL NOT IMPORT
Please do not use capitals in this fashion. You obviously stumbled on a bug. You created a second thread today, which you could have included it right here, plus, this very question about the video was posted yesterday:

RE: How could Sony Media screw this up?
No. The card has it's own memory. Vista may add a little system memory to it as well, if needed to support the 3D Aero interface. The phenomena of installing a memory heavy graphics card at the expense of system memory is another matter. You have

Vegas Pro 8.0a
Why could version 7e open and process the JVC and Sony ".MOD" files and version 8 ( even with the current update ) not open them. Sony phone support says they don't support it but version 7e did. Sony makes a camcorder that uses a format and their

RE: Problem with 32 bit rendering - Digital Juice
Have had issues with Digital Juice. Sent e-mails, left phone messages. No response. Suspect they've grown too quickly and have not grown their support staff to meet the need.

RE: Beeps During Vegas Playback
Vegas 4 ?! You paid for the phone tech support - it was 60 days, not 60 years, though the online support remains free if you are not in an urgent hurry. Maybe you are the first person that particular set of circumstances has happened to . Maybe

Ted, > is this measured in hours, days or months. The two or three times I emailed support (not following a new release), it took exactly one week to hear back. I find this unacceptable in a professional product having a professional price. If

RE: Why not DivX for HD on DVD's?

RE: oh my gosh, I can't believe this
The issue isn't the number of computers it's installed on. The issue is the number of installs. SONY counts installations of each license key. I have no idea if they also tag installs with anything that identifies the computer it's being installed

RE: DVDA 4.5 complains: mpg plug-in not registered
I got off the phone with technical support and, apparently, it's a known problem. In fact, they didn't start the Gold Plan (60 days support) officially because of the status of this problem. They are working on it and will send a workaround via

Yes, the same for me. All I have to do is open the software, then immediately close it and I get the exit error every time. Supposedly, Sony tech support should get back to me by tomorrow, but it sounds like you are not having any luck with them
