RE: Multiple cameras choppy playback and slow render times VP14+
@johnny-d Here is how I go about multicam projects. At first I layout the source files and sync them. Use what ever method suits you and your type of work. I than make myself a “Video Wall”, meaning use a Vegasaur utility to show all of the camera

RE: Multiple cameras choppy playback and slow render times VP14+
@johnny-d I am not sure what you are trying to achieve by NOT using the multicam editing tool. Can you please explain that? If you are worried about color correction, do it on the media level.

RE: Can't edit 720p multi-cam footage in Pro 16 -footage too choppy
The only reason why I'm upscaling is because the footage has been deinterlaced, which produces 59.97fps. 720P supports a frame rate of 59.94. I deinterlaced because I just learned AVISynth and wanted to perform QTGMC. So in my script I deinterlaced

RE: Can't edit 720p multi-cam footage in Pro 16 -footage too choppy
Set your Project to match your source, not your output. This is fundamental. For what purpose are you upscaling and cropping? It sounds like you may need to prerender so that Vegas does not try to render the preview in real time, which your system

    RE: Rendering before multicam
You could apply those crops and fX to the clips and save as a Vegas project. Then “nest” that project in your multicam project instead of the original clip. That method will be profoundly resource intensive.

    Rendering before multicam
Is there a way to render (bounce) within ONE video track, the FX that are on the track...specifically pan and cropping, so that when enabling the track for multicam, the envelopes, etc are not lost? IOW. do I have to render a single track first to

Even if you dont plan on actually using the 8k footagr you shoot today. I think it could be benificial to deliver it in 4k ans shelf your raw 8k footage for the future when 8k becomes more practical. Im going to YellowStone next summer and would

RE: VEGAS Pro 16 Update 3 (build 352) - General Discussion
"- When I edit a timeline (cutting and moving clips) while watching the actual video, it crashes." This bug has been in Vegas for at least a decade. It usually doesn't completely crash the app, it will just hang for a long time, and eventually will

RE: Vegas pro 16 Build 352
I do find it useful when I'm grabbing a wide angle from a multicam concert shoot that I started a good 10-15 minutes early (if not more), so I had plenty of time to get all other cams rolling and operators into position without having to worry about

RE: Align One Camera Track With External Audio Recorder Via Timecode?
Align tracks to timecode is greyed out under multicamera, so we can't even attempt it. It doesn't seem Vegas is set up to align audio without video to just one camera angle. I told him to throw in a dummy track with a random video and use that to

RE: VP15 timeline playback, video cards, QSV, NVENC, CUDA etc....PROBLEM
If you aree having problems with 8bit projects then I suspect it’s either your source file format/codec or your system setup. I can edit 4K XAVC-I 29.97p 8bit without problems on my system and I have no issues doing 1080 60p multicam projects.

RE: Can v16 do auto crossfade?
Maybe you are thinking of using up some removed material for the crossfade. That would be clever and feasible. That is what Ibwas thinking about. That is actually how it works in a multicam edit. You select several events with straight cuts and when

I just want add on this questions. Can your 1080ti render the official Red Car in 14s. Can your 1080ti card render 1080P project to 1080P in 150+ frames. Can your 1980ti card render multiple 4k tracks with FX applied with almost 2X the speed. Can

RE: v16 doesn't render on Dell XPS13 unless GPU disabled in global prefs
OK; I never realised one has to have a really high-end card to get the big speedup. I reckon yours must have cost 1000-2000 quid. 5 years old used ones go for 500. I bought my Fury X USD899.00 when it first came out and I sold my two R9 290 which I

RE: Vegas renders random frames incorrectly....
I just rendered out a 6 camera 2 hour long multicam with various fx applied throughout using NVENC just fine, so project complexity alone isn't the triggering factor. Probably has to do also with media used, frame rates, etc.

    VP 16 Stabilization ?
Wondering if the "new VP 16 Stabilization" is significantly better than my VP 13 stabilization? Good enough to justify $ & new version problems? I do a lot of MultiCam & happy with VP13.

Rendering an MP4 to play on TV

My camera is a Lumix DMC G6, so max quality will be 19280x1080 50p 28Mbps mp4 format or 19280 x1080 50P 28Mbps AVCHD Progressive. Not multicam. Budget is around $1300.

RE: System build advice for Vegas pro 14
Hi. I am upgrading my system for VP14 and would like to know if any of these combinations would be OK or to be avoided. 1) Low budget - Ryzen 5 2400G APU   2) Higher budget - Ryzen 5 2600 with either Radeon Rx 570 or Nvidia 1060 GPU. Any other
