    I use Pinnacle Studio 21 Ultimate for multicam work. It will create proxies which makes switching between cameras painless. It can automatically add cross dissolves. With MC editor, you can go back and move things around, add fx, etc... really powerful. Sync 2 audio and 6 cameras and it works great.

    I agree that the sync of multiple sources using the audio matching is fiddly - but surprisingly effective.When you can afford it, try Cyberlink PowerDirector (among others) if you need this - and it has MultiCam editing, probably more flexible too than Vegas. It has other niggles that still make me stick with Vegas - but you really do get lots more good stuff than in Vegas. If you can hack it -
