RE: Building Proxy in Vegas 22
@mhammann57 Hi, I can't spk for everyone of course but generally GoPro HEVC files work ok in VP22, as I wrote there were a lot of posts about GoPro files in previous versions of VP but since VP21 (300) those posts have pretty much stopped. & I

RE: Experimental HEVC and GoPro 11 footage = Higher Memory Utilization
Creating a proxy or DI for GoPro is a pretty standard recommendation. Unfortunately, formats designed for acquisition don't lend themselves very well to editing or delivery.

RE: Building Proxy in Vegas 22
Similar GoPro footage plays back smoothly on my desktop (see signature) without a proxy.Mark's hardware is similar though I don't see what the NVIDIA GPU is looking at the signature. Video ID : 1 Format

RE: What settings to utilize nVidia 4090?
@RogerS Usually I edit clips from GoPro which is set to 60fps and from nVidia Experience (now nVidia App) also set to 60fps. Yester it was just random clip of my desktop captured by nVidia app (4k, 60fps). If this looks like normal behavior then I

RE: Vegas Pro Rendering Issues
Fully half of your files are Variable Frame Rate. That will never work. All of your files are GoPro, or worse, GoPro HEVC Mixing frame rates is a science, not one I think you are ready for yet. Your first step should be to convert all of your

GOPRO VIDEO FORMATS
I am looking to buy a Go Pro video camera. I see it does 5K format and I also see 1080P. I am using Vegas Pro 18. I don't believe I can edit 5k with that version. I suspect I can choose the 1080P resolution but they (Amazon and reviews) don't

RE: 8k hevc decoding problem (nvidia)
@relaxvideoDoes Vegas play this file with GPU decoder? https://www.mediafire.com/file/ia365n7556capk7/P1025412.MOV/file Above 4k below 8K, you may already have some gopro 5.*K HEVC footage.

RE: Who (still) uses VegasPro to edit camera footage?
I use all sorts of consumer formats from about 1980 on. Currently my usual cameras are A7-IV and AX700 and iPhone 13 up to 4K. I also use Gopro, DJI drones and other phones. Sometimes captures from MiniDV, Hi8, betamax and VHS. Sometimes 60 and 50Hz

RE: Vegas Edit 21 Upgrade
@mhammann57 I use a GoPro11, Vegas Pro Edit 21 is a lot better than previous versions esp VP18, I've tried pretty much every GoPro format inc 5.3 & playback is pretty much flawless (No proxies). In previous versions I had stuttering, layback

RE: Vegas 21 (315) Lag when handling clips (Trimming and Moving)
@Former user I am not concerned with playback speed on the timeline. I am concerned with editing/trimming on the timeline. If I want to playback my files, i just open up the folder where my GoPro footage is (and even the CLOG3 from my Canons'),

RE: Big problems with 9070 XT
Hi thanks for the reply. I'm at work and only got my laptop so can't check with Mediainfo. It is gopro footage at 5k 30, insta360 at 4k 30, drone at 4k 30 and nikon at 4k 30. I've got plenty of HDD space (100gb). I was just able to render on my

RE: [Solved] Problems with Vegas 18 on i9-13900K using iGPU
While VEGAS can open and edit these GoPro files the decoding has issues at present. You could try unchecking legacy HEVC decoding and see if it works better (it may; it uses the Intel GPU more). At the moment HEVC is going through a lot of changes

RE: What can I do to speed up 4K render?
I am only using the sharpening FX at half-strength, and I think even that may be too much. Sharpening on the source recorder (GoPro) was set to "low". Never had the need to sharpen in post a 4k recording. Keep in mind that rendering is the final

RE: Vloggers/Youtubers, what camera + capture method do you use for Vegas?
I have an Osmo Pocket 1, 2, and 3 and a couple of GoPro cameras. I just copy the files off the cards and drop them on the timeline. They all work just fine. Motion JPEG is not a good option. I'd see if the camera can capture in a different format.

RE: Different frame rates in one given project
Not sure if OP wants to try Resolve, so. Since the OP is using VMS 17, and transcoding to ProRes is a No-Go, the best I found to use for transcoding that worked awesome, especially for different GoPro Cameras and/or their frame rates, is Grass

@mhammann57 i7-13700K / RTX 3060ti (FE) here. For what its worth, I shoot with a GoPro 10, Fuji XT-4 (ALL-I, 400mbps), and a GoPro 5, all in 4K. For the GoPro 5, it's in to GyroFlow for stabilization and lens correction, and then out to

.. you need to go into the GoPro app to do that ... Not at all ... I just swipped down on GoPro's window and then swipped left and the Preferences menu button (it is large) appears - click on it and the options including 'Anti-Flicker' opens up.

RE: Who was able to set up CineForm in vegas 21?
My understanding is that GoPro CineForm is an open source video code, not a video OFX plugin. Video codecs are built in to Vegas Pro as part of its program and aren't able to be user-installed as can be done with OFX and VST plugins. You can put in
