VP15 Multicam Edit with Audio Sync
The title says it all. Can VP15 do this? Is there an online tutorial for it or a place where I can read about it? There are times I get multicam projects to do. And to sync visually, well, it can be done but not the most efficient when I have

RE: Video Stabilizing Problems
Oh, my friends, I do not even know how to reward you for the help you gave me. I downloaded your file and tried to stabilize the biggest part that you may want to use (in parts I believe) and used Vegas Stabilization of Pro 16 and Mercalli 4.The

RE: Feature request - Vegas Pro
I totally agree with your list. These are things I would use with every project.I'd like to see FinalCut-like compound clips where you can lock multiple cameras and audio together and it just looks like a block for editing purposes, but if you need

Lay Out Tracks Using Media Timecode
Kudos on the Lay Out Tracks Using Media Timecode option.I'm working on the same project with Premiere Pro and Vegas Pro, just to see what I like and what I don't. One task was to timeline out a whole day's shooting with a single camera. In Premiere

RE: Date Created To Timecode In Or Date/Time Stamp?
Another thing worth pointing out...Timecode, apparently, doesn't have date information. So, if your footage spans multiple days, automating multicam from all the files will be problematic.Of course, you can just select one day's worth of files (since

RE: Newbe... a couple of workflow questions
Color grade first, because these are static cameras, I'm guessing, with an audience that doesn't change, performers stay the same, just get a good grade that works and your pretty much done with that. You just have to do it all as Media FX or all is

RE: Newbe... a couple of workflow questions
If you don't have a lot of 1440x1080 or won't select many of those angles, go with a 1920x1080 project. Make yourself a video wall, 2x2 video, layout and align the clips, do color correction on the media level. Create the Multicam track, cut the

RE: colour correction, multicam editing, digital zooming workflow question
I usually start off with putting the shots each on their own track, then use Vegasaur the make a 4cam view that looks exactly like a multicam edit would look like. @OldSmoke How do you use Vegasaur to see the 4 cameras? Is the Pan Crop Assistant /

RE: colour correction, multicam editing, digital zooming workflow question
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. It basically confirms what I already stated. A nested project is treated as if it was a rendered file with all its FX applied, the project settings and hopefully the de-interlace method selected in the

@OldSmoke Check out this video I did. I hope he clarifies your doubts. @Former user It is not slow here. Try to nest only video events without audios like I did in the demo video and see if it improves. @altarvic Do you think it's possible to

Problem With Photo Slideshow Created With Vegas 15
First off, I am entirely self-taught starting from Vegas Pro 9 and while I know many aspects in some depth, some others are rudimentary for me so apologies if I waste your time. Ordinarily I use Vegas Pro 13 build 453 and thats been fine. Recently

RE: colour correction, multicam editing, digital zooming workflow question
In the multicam system, only effects applied to the FX media level remain as @OldSmoke said. Another solution is to create a nested project for each of the cameras. After that enable the multicam system and make the necessary adjustments in each

RE: colour correction, multicam editing, digital zooming workflow question
When you go to multicam editing, all effx are deleted. This is the way it works. Effects applied on the media level stay intact, that is the only that stays. I usually do color matching on the media level before I build the multicam track and final

Like Resolve? That's great... if you have a GPU that can handle it... and another $150 device so you can get full screen previews... only to turn on a few effects and be told that you have run out of GPU ram and the entire program ceases to

RE: Will be Vegas Pro full video editor ?
No problem here with ProRes422 (haven't tried with any of the higher bitrates yet). I just came over to Vegas 15 from a decade of working in FCP7, so I have a lot of ProRes files. I've done about six multicam projects with ProRes422 and performance

@fr0sty thank you for your honest thoughts on VP and the other pro editors. None is perfect, none does everything each user wants, and all have bugs and crashes. I guess it comes down to what you edit, what you use in the program, workflow and

RE: VEGAS Pro 15 Update 5 (build 361) - General Discussion
@AVsupport, I compared the results of enabling/disabling iGPU. The material I used was a multicam track of 4 x 4K 29.97pfs footage out of Panasonic GH5, Sony AX100, 2 x Panasonic WX970M's, on which I used a set of color correction filters (levels,

RE: Vegas 15 doesen't load Plural Eyes extension
Thanks for all the help with syncing multicam projects. I would think that audio sync would be enabled by default, but it isn't. If it wasn't for the explanation of the Preferences where it is FALSE, I would have never known.
