RE: How to Improve Video Export Quality in VEGAS Pro?
MagixAVC with Mainconcept is fine with enough bitrate. I'm less impressed with QSV. For final renders I often use x264 through Voukoder with a CQ of 19 or so. Using too low CQ settings, can/may result in very/too high peak bitrates in scenes with

RE: XAVC S HD
It's not a trivial question to answer. Start with the Magix AVC presets that match your resolution and framerate. If you see compression artifacts where there are areas of high detail or motion increase the maximum. MagixHEVC presets are on the

@marcinzm Hi, yes, Vegs has a 3D option for the tracks & using the Parent/Child option + keyframes it can all be animated. In that video it looks like maybe 4 layers. A single background picture that is composed of multiple photos. (they could

RE: Getting Error Message when trying to render anamorphic video in Vegas
@3POINT No, actually, the lenses are quite sharp. Some of the lost detail was due to an experiment I was doing. I was focused on the close distance (the trees). The purpose of doing this was to imagine a person in the foreground, talking to the

RE: Photo burst: what is the ideal duration per photo to simulate film?
... when I play the timeline, I find this to feel like it is to fast (it feels like a speed up) Back in analogue days, this was always the case with filmed US TV series (NTSC 24 fps) played on a telecine on TV in Australia (PAL 25 fps) - there was

Halarious crash (bezier curves)
Vegas Pro 21 b315Wanted to share this crash on here because I bursted out laughing when this happened. I was using the Picture in Picture plugin so I could utilize bezier curves for motion. I'm not exactly sure why this happened, but when i went to

RE: Audio drag delay
Okay, but did it start (the issue) in build 403? Or was it already there in 370 (the previous build). When you drag, is the 'event' following your cursor (at a distance, like slow motion) or not moving at all?In my case (and others) knobs and

RE: Vegas from Sony to now
Recording at 200fps just to downsample to 60fps doesn't work, as 60 doesn't divide into 200. You are losing frames unevenly, which actually creates judder, and reduces the quality of the final render because a conversion is having to take place.

RE: Smart Mask (AI assisted automatic masking) Introduction
You're better off using VEGAS Motion Tracking to do that, it's better designed for motion tracking non-huma/animal objects. Tutorial here: Thanks for the tutorial (all the tutorials) - thats how I do it at present, but you asked for thoughts on

RE: Motion Tracking
A good point @Jack S ... and Vegas Pro has had that in various forms since VP18 (I think it was). But even with the inbuilt tracker, it was never an instant 'press-the-button' process - it still took processing time. The final result is the most

3POINT, thanks. that example you showed with the bird, optical flow to me looked the worse. I was thinking of selling my AX 700 on Ebay. Sony has discontinued it. To my untrained eye my videos taken with my S 23 Ultra looks just as good as the AX

RE: How to zoom all tracks?
Another simple way to do it is via an fx applied to the video output bus (fx button above the Preview pane). Try fx such as Pip (quickest), Smart-Zoom (deprecated but fairly quick), or Upscale (resource intensive AI). If you can get it to work at

RE: VEGAS Pro New Features Monthly Poll - August 2024
Integrated Masking Think how masking works in VEGAS Effects or After Effects. You don't add an effect or open the pan/crop window. You just click on either a shape mask and draw it out directly on the preview monitor, or you click on the bezier pen

RE: How do I resize and position an image?
Pan Crop is far better than track motion for resizing despite its limitations, because it treats the image at its native resolution. Which is why you use it to CROP an crop (i.e. zoom in on the clip). To then resize it (smaller) and position it,

RE: Change CPU ? (Intel I5-9700K -> I5-13400F)
Hello RogerS, I don't understand, as I have a 4070 graphics card from nVidia, the iGPU is disabled.Does Vegas take the iGPU into account in this case? Yes my final project is in 60fps because I do slow motion and I downgrade it to 2.7K. Thanks.

To restart VEGAS with stock settings, hold CTRL+SHIFT while launching the program. Also: Other OFX Can be a source of performance issues. Some effects are going to slow down your performance no matter what system you are on. For example, NeatVideo,

Remove motion blur from interview footage?
I recorded some interview footage and for reasons not clear, there is some blur with the interviewee. The focus on him is sharp enough, but he has some quick movements as he speaks. When showing edits, some mentioned that the speed is not correct.

RE: ⭐Flow for VEGAS Pro(Extension for animations based on bezier curves)⭐
Pan/crop tool is the most confusing tool (for beginners) in Vegas, I hardly use it anymore. I think it will become a deprecated feature one day. I certainly hope not! I use it on MOST of the videos I do. Not confusing at all. It allows you to CROP

RE: Render does not respect the preview of the video - Track Motion(v18.0)
You must not use a different Render size from the Project in which you created your track motion. They must be the same to work identically.
