RE: Vegas Pro 13 Corrupt Preview Video & crashing!!
Thanks for you suggestion OldSmoke, I've been working with GPU acceleration off for the last 30 minutes and Vegas has been stable. I'd gladly remove the FX3800 out of my workstation and just leave the Quadro 4000, if there wasn't that screen

Vegas Pro 13 Corrupt Preview Video & crashing!!
Hi folks, I was really excited to see the new release and added options, especially the broadcast audio LFSU meters since we do a lot of TVCs. Been using Vegas since version 6. We predominantly use Sony AVCHD camcorder models NX5P, NX70P, AE-50

RE: OT: new camera from Blackmagic Design
Can you point me to some Black Magic camera footage that isn't soft and washed out looking? The output of the camera can be anything you like, that's the beauty of shooting in RAW. Most people who choose these cameras are doing so for this

RE: OT: new camera from Blackmagic Design
Blackmagic cameras do not work with all cards, many found this out to their dismay with the Pocket Camera. So I would not be thinking about substituting any card other than those recommended by Blackmagic. At present, because the camera is not

RE: Studio 13 crashing at startup...
Found this thread and am having the same issues, having newly purchased the VMS 13 upgrade from VMS 12 (which had no issues). My system is a laptop on which I just updated the graphics software (HP pavilion g7-2320dx). I upgraded to VMS 13 from

RE: Studio 13 crashing at startup...
thanks for the info - I will need that shortly.... Turns out that the 64 bit version of Studio 13 was fighting with the BlackMagic design software that I had installed on this system. I use their Intensity Pro card for video capture. I

RE: Vegas Pro 13 at NAB
It appears that Blackmagic Design are going to ramp up the edit functionality in DaVinci Resolve, according to a large banner outside the NAB halls. And it will be free, or so it says, in Resolve 11. I am guessing that this means that Resolve 11

RE: Loading VHS Clips
Get a Viewcast 100 or 100e, depending on your interface. Viewcast makes the most rock solid analog capture cards on the market. Load the drivers and select the card inside Vegas capture program. Works seamlessly with MS Encoder too, when you just

RE: OT: New GoPro 3+ Sees Red
Does it actually matter? The use of the ProTune mode suggests you are going to grade the material anyway. Try looking at the output of the Blackmagic Pocket camera in RAW mode, it is nearly monochrome.

RE: IBM Motion JPEG
Another free motion JPEG add on is the blackmagic software. You can just install the software even if you do not have a device. Vegas see this and the software does not time out or look for hardware. Just a thought.

Blackmagic thunderbolt with Vegas
Has anyone used a BM intensity I/O box with Vegas? My new mobo (asus Z87) has a thunderbolt port that I would like to use for monitoring and very rare importing of video. I don't want to spend 4 times as much for an AJA box. Thanks

Another issue with Looks and Vegas is that if you have a Blackmagic Intensity card and use the external monitor preview from within Looks interface the black levels jump about 7.5 IRE. This is reflected in the scopes and makes accurate grading
