RE: Automation
Johan: Sorry about not responding to your post. Has too many errors in it. Mixed info, etc. If you write it again in a readable way, with appropriate quotations, then I'll address your points. Victor. PS: Must give you credit for the sly way

Larry, thanks for the truth. My guess is that you were one of the only Vegas users that saw validity in Irvin's ranting. larry lutz wrote: >> >> >>Thomas Kay wrote: >>>>Damn it, Larry. Just when nobody answers

If you dig into the manual,You will find that you can punch in.It is diff from what irvin and probably most of us are use to.It is more towards really digging in to the edit and adjusting a pre roll to record in the section.I have used it many

RE: Looking for Direct X plugins
So, wouldn't you agree that comparing Vegas to Nuendo would be apples to oranges, considering the price? I can't find it, but I don't believe SF even claims to be such a recording product that would punch on the fly- not that it wouldn't be nice.

I have never seen Vegas in a store for more than $430. It is now at $400. Isn't Nuendo at least $1000 list? Which would put it at around $850 or so. Double, at least. So far I'm okay with the first release of Vegas (I don't do this for a

RE: Try Finishing the Audio Program before going Video
I think that when a product (and company) shows the promise that SF has over the past few years, people root for it. Sound Forge's ease of use was a blessing. It is useless, however, if you record 24 bit into Vegas. So, by that observation alone,

RE: DirectX FX as Track Inserts
Unfortunately, I don't have Sound Forge. It's becoming clear that to really use Vegas you have to have Sound Forge too. This ups the price from a $500 piece of software, to a $900 piece of software. It seems that Sonic Foundry ought to bundle the

RE: DirectX FX as Track Inserts
To use off-time processing; right click your track and open it in Sound Forge, when you "save" the changes appear back in Vegas. I duplicate (drag off) my tracks in Sound Forge so as to not loose the original track. That way you can always go
