V8 crash in "ntdll.dll" in HDV project
Just had V8b crash on me. I was surprised since it normally doesn't. I'm running WinXP SP2. I was working on a project with HDV source material (1080i). Does the below error message make any more sense to anyone else, than it does to me? Sony

Thanks for the suggestions. The install seems OK. If I start a new project (or simply close the project I'm seeing the problem in), themes, buttons & backgrounds are magically available again. Seems to me that this one project (recently

    RE: Stupid Sony Vegas 8b
I have completely uninstalled Vegas - all traces gone from the hard drive and the registry.. Reinstall, a nice fresh copy. Same problem. So maybe it's a codec issue? The error report (below) suggests module MCMPGDEC.DLL is the guilty party; isn't

bob, Rather than get in the middle of this "does it crash" discussion, I'll just write to say that my Vegas 8B has been crashing fairly regularly, especially when loading VV files created with 7 and VV 8A versions. I'm listing the error message

RE: VEGAS PRO 8a - MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH QUAD CORES
Could be coincidence, sure. Odds may favor that people with Quads have demanding projects that may expose flaws in Vegas. I'm looking at a page on exception errors: http://www.updatexp.com/0xC0000005.html The part that stands out to me is DEP
