Is it just MP3 files that exhibit this behavior, or all files such as PCM <.wav>. You could try resetting VP, or if that does not help, uninstall-reinstall.

[Solved] What happened to MP3 format?

Just 4 days ago, I encoded an MP3 from Vegas 17. Yesterday I went to encode another MP3, and it's vanished from the list of formats. How can that happen? It worked fine a few days ago. I thought maybe a reboot would fix the issue, but no such luck.
