RE: Who (still) uses VegasPro to edit camera footage?
I also use only footage of my camerasBut I become too old with trembling fingers to use my Panasonic, as i noticed during my vacation this year. Now I only use footage from my DJI pocket and my GOPro

RE: Video preview freeze when I play video from go pro 12 (4k 60fps)
@Mateusz-Przybylski Hi, I have a GoPro 11, I suggest to you to upgrade to VP22, since VP21 (300) there has been a massive difference in how VP plays GoPro HEVC clips, VP20 played them really bad but now I honestly can't tell the difference between

RE: Flicker Reduction - Histogram smoothing
I found a GoPro 4K video shot indoors with lots of fluro flicker. In the Video Scopes Histogram display when playing the event, the top edge of the histogram was a mass of peaking and troughing movement. Adding Flicker Control 'Histogram Smoothing'

RE: Samsung S23 Ultra camera video audio out of sync.
... Gopro options are 24, 30, 60, 120 or 240 depending on size & aspect ratio. The Gopro MediaInfo doesn't say whether it's PAL or NTSC? With my GoPro 10, the NTSC frame rates are the default settings as far as I can recall, but if you go to

RE: Samsung S23 Ultra camera video audio out of sync.
@Dexcon Ah thanks, this is a fairly new Gopro for me, those options do feel familiar in the back of my mind so maybe I looked when I first got it but not since & have forgotten 👍. My old Gopro Hero 4 was hard to see the screen so I rarely

RE: Some Day/Year Will Vegas Go HDR10?!
Correction: After Refining of my (HDR10) project the HDR10-ProRes format can be recognized automatically and displayed fine, so the source HLG-files from my Lumix GH6 and DJI Mini4Pro as well. No luck with goPro Hero5 Pro tune flat color.

RE: File I/O -> Experimental HEVC decoding: Has severe problem with a clip
@John-Callahan I noticed a very big improvement with GoPro HEVC after VP21 build (300) - Experimental unticked/off, I too now don't have it turned on, so If you're getting better performance with it off leave it off. I believe the 'experimental' was

RE: Who was able to set up CineForm in vegas 21?
The decoding of Cineform has been implemented years ago in Vegas. To allow 10bit editing. Since Cineform was sold - also years ago - to GoPro, you have to install the Cineform codec in your system. That happened by installing GoPro Studio.

RE: With 20 years of Vegas experience, my perspective on Vegas Pro 23.
VEGAS does support MKV files, such as those produced by OBS. There are many combinations though for what you put in it- what is in your MKV?Check out GL Transitions- these are new and customizable.Doesn't GoPro issue their own LUTs you can load? I

    RE: GOPRO VIDEO FORMATS
I think you will be just as happy rendering your 5.3K video at 2160p (4K). You want to record your video with the bitrate set to high on the GoPro and render it at about 80K bitrate (average) to keep the artifacts from showing up in the dark

RE: What can I do to speed up 4K render?
@j-v I can get average frame rates approaching yours if I render just the raw HEVC Gopro files at "good" quality, as you did above, without any edits or FX. After I set render quality to "best", add music, add multiple clips, remove the GoPro audio

RE: Building Proxy in Vegas 22
@mhammann57 Hi. Like @Gid, I too have one (two) all AMD systems (see signature), and use GoPro's from version 5 Black through 13 Black (except for the Hero 8 due to non-removable lens). When I had the Hero 3 Black Plus, the old GoPro Studio worked

RE: Building Proxy in Vegas 22
@mhammann57 Good, glad you sorted it out, I doubt your card can't handle the 4k files, GoPro's only have that card as memory so if it couldn't handle 4k it wouldn't record correctly, but as you've found the files are ok when transferred using the

Chief24 - Thank you. I did try converting the video to ProRes LT using Shutter Encoder however, I still had the same stuttering/pixelation when playing the video. I am wondering why others with a similar Intel platform seem to be having more success

RE: Vegas 21 (315) Lag when handling clips (Trimming and Moving)
@joshua-noesser Well, it is a GoPro, which are notorious for their excessive compression schemes. Plus, add the fact that you are also recording at 5.3K, 60p (59.940), this just increases the problem. I have used GoPro's since the Hero 3 Black

    RE: GOPRO VIDEO FORMATS
I believe all GoPro's will shoot in 1920x1080 x 30FPS; Your version of Vegas (18) will be much happier editing in this format than 4K. - Not a GoPro forum, so I'll leave it at that.

RE: [Solved] Problems with Vegas 18 on i9-13900K using iGPU
While VEGAS can open and edit these GoPro files the decoding has issues at present. You could try unchecking legacy HEVC decoding and see if it works better (it may; it uses the Intel GPU more). At the moment HEVC is going through a lot of changes

@mhammann57 Hi, I can't spk for everyone of course but generally GoPro HEVC files work ok in VP22, as I wrote there were a lot of posts about GoPro files in previous versions of VP but since VP21 (300) those posts have pretty much stopped. & I

... it may just be that this GoPro footage is hard to decode so try to choose different settings in your camera that are easier to edit or be patient with your renders. Agreed. The GoPro settings are at its maximums: 5,3k 60fps and 10bit ... but
