Error saving MP4 files in project
I seem to be having problems importing MP4 footage from a GoPro Hero 9. Current example is 4k footage taken, MP4 footage. Vegas is not allowing me to drag into Project Media, but I can File-Open and select footage. This then opens and I can edit as

    Crashing
Hi, I'm using Vegas pro 18.0. It just keeps crashing in various situations. When I'm editing on the timeline, when I'm importing videos, when I'm trimming videos...The software freezes, I have to close it, reopen and loose everything that was not

I think half the people aren't reading your post. Can you post a zoomed-in view of the timeline between two of these clips? Could be something as simple as a snap or quantize setting you need to change. I don't have any issues with any other

@Liberty610 Another thing to try is enabling Legacy AVC or HEVC decoding depending upon what type of recording you are doing. The so4compoundplug.dll has had a checkered history of properly decoding GoPro files, especially maintaining audio sync.

Ok , than I cannot help you.My Files of the GOPro Hero 7 with the same filenumbers can be stitched together to 1 file because the fileformat of the card in that GOPro does not allow files to go bigger than 4GB while on my used hardware I can go to a

Doesn't GoPro have an APP to transfer and connect files? Can you format the GoPro memory card NTFS or something that takes larger files? I am not sure about the app. But I did think about formatting to NTFS via windows and then trying it, but I have

Did you try-- to connect your GoPro through USB to your hardware and pu it on-- goto File/Import/Media-- choose the GoPro on your computer and Import the available files with the same file numbers-- when they are of the same take they will be

From memory something like this works. Should work of your hard drive. Old fashioned DOS copy /b clip1.mp4+clip2.mp4+clip3.mp4+clip4.mp4 combined.mp4 Edit: Your basic file is large. GoPro recording breaks the file into about 4.3Gb chunks. The

I have done it with a sd card reader, but I don't think you can use Device Explorer from a hardddrive. But there are commands that will connect. Hopefully someone more familiar with that method will chime in.   I just recorded another new clip,

GoPro video files have slight pops in between then on Vegas timeline
Hi all, I just got a go pro hero 9 black camera. I recorded a good 15 to 20 straight minuets with it for a test. What I found is, the GoPro automatically creates separate files of the video after the file gets to a certain size. This particular test

RE: VEGAS Pro dislike DNXHR codec
@alifftudm95 Hi Aliff, That is because FxHome wrote their own support for cineform in Hitfilm (Vegas fx) but Magix are still reliant upon the VFW .avi legacy codec installed by the old GoPro installers. I think you can still find this on the DrZen

RE: VEGAS Pro dislike DNXHR codec
@alifftudm95 I had no luck with avid DNX files either. The obvious "standard" intermediate would be Prores, but DR doesn't export this on PC, and Vegas doesn't see Prores timecode anyway. Grass Valley HQX is the most solid choice; alternatively

As for the source material it consists of "MOV.", "MPG." and "MP4." both HD and 4K. All of these formats work with all of the previous versions Vegas that I have. The sources of these file are from Sony 4K handicam, Nikon 7300, DJI Mavic Pro Zoom

@Joe-Engel4655Looking at your hardware and compare it to mine there might not be any problem to add very much heavy 4 K and long events to a timeline in VMSP 17, but who do you think will take a look at the result of the more than 10 hours project

RE: Rendering hangs up with a memory leak - Vegas 18 Pro
If it's from a Gopro, it does not record at the same bit rates as the Panasonic cameras. It is not, it are AVC files of my DJI pocket, with the MediaInfo Bitrate is 100MB/s, that's pretty high, but if you provide on a cloudservice, so we are able
