Crashing while rendering with nested veg.
Does anybody know what would be causing Veg 8b pro to crash while rendering. It was rendering just plain ordinary widescreen DV although it is nexted. Do I have to render each nest file by it self? Do I need to reinstall? I was able to render

RE: HDV users: please read
The new DLL makes it possible for me to import AVCHD files from the new Panasonic HMC150 camera. Without this dll, Vegas Pro 8.0b locked up on imports and gave a divide by zero error with the files. Only issue I see is that it still locks up on

The Frameserver is great, but I have one issue: PNG image sequence export [RGB24 selected above] doesn't preserve the alpha channel. If I select "RGB32" before choosing the "Image Sequence Output" radio button, then I get an error message when I

RE: 23.976 IVTC > 24p >23.976 IVTC Workflow Question
What happens to the video really doesn't matter, you should only need it for reference in the audio application. A lot of audio post houses still use SP and I doubt they strike a 35mm print from that SP dub! The audio on the other hand does

RE: 23.976 IVTC > 24p >23.976 IVTC Workflow Question
There's a simple enough way to do this in Vegas. I've posted this before: Switch T/L to Absolute Frames. Note down the number of frames at the end. Switch to 24p. Now stretch vision and sound to the exact same number of frames. No resampling

At this point, unless something new happens that solves my problems with Vegas Pro 8, I will soon dump it in favor of something that makes editing HDV possible for me. Vegas has caused me nothing but continuous grief. I have jumped through MANY

RE: Pulldown
I am pretty sure that ALL NTSC DVD players can handle a disk with 23.976 progressive video with the pulldown flag. AFIK, this is how ALL Hollywood movies are encoded and is one of several reasons why they look so good, even when encoded at very low
