RE: AV1 encoding - is using CPU better than GPU for GeForce RTX 4070?
I have been testing my new equipment: CPU: Intel i9-14900KS GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070 SUPER I had system stability issues. I had to turn off Turbo Boost and Turbo Boost 3.0 Max Technology in BIOS to avoid Windows stability issues. Now my system is

RE: VEGAS Pro Update 3 - new feature tutorials, benchmark comparisons
I did not find the AV1 GPU support self-explanatory. Is this for decoding, or encoding? I recently jumped from VP16 to 21 so I'm unaware what's already supported before now (and unable to test as build 300 does not work on my system), but I am

RE: Nvidia App Beta: AV1 Recordings cannot be imported - VP21
@RogJ Here's another data point: the original SVT libs released by Intel to ffmpeg had a bug that was later fixed. The bad libs had a signature of Lavf60.3.100 or earlier. Those av1 renders are not read properly by Vegas. The fixed libs have a

RE: AV1 encoding - is using CPU better than GPU for GeForce RTX 4070?
I have been only testing AV1 codec. I have never given bride and groom any video in AV1 codec. If you ask for 8K, I gave them as the bonus to the the most expensive package they purchased. I know this is not recorded by 8K video camera. I know that

    RE: Av1 GPU Encoding
@Resoula The answer is probably no. I observed no Nvenc/Intel/AMD/ HW encoding activity in TM. For a 27s UHD test clip that takes 26.53 seconds in VP to render it takes 7.39 seconds using ffmpeg with Nvenc HW encoding. That's a 3.6 x speed increase

As said, I do not edit AV1 at all. For me, BRAW is more appropriate.

RE: VP22 support Nvidia NVENC with AV1 ?
I while back I compared nvidia hardware renders on my 4090 via Voukoder with the vp22 default Magix av1 renders which are slower and cpu only. I still have the clips laying around. The reference clip I used was the one in this thread in which

RE: AV1 render fails w/ "The reason for the error could not be determined"
Interesting, haven't seen that. Are you working in 32-bit mode (I notice you have 10-bit footage so assume yes but which mode? ACES?)Not a solution but for AV1 I'd only render through Voukoder as it can tap into hardware renderers that are pretty

Glad to assist if my hardware fits your requirements. See my signature. Using ffmpeg ... I have tested AV1 some time ago across all 3 devices, Intel, AMD and Nvidia with respect to quality. Not speed because my Intel A770 gpu resides in a 4x slot

RE: Best Render Settings for Sony ZV-E10 In Vegas Pro 22? (1080P 30)
With Youtube, as well as with most streaming services, the limiting factor is their delivery bitrate ceiling, and not the bitrate of the source you sent to them. I get that. I have no expectation that the bitrate will be anything but the YouTube

RE: Nvidia App Beta: AV1 Recordings cannot be imported - VP21
@Howard-Vigorita isn't it something like 90% of new consumer GPU's bought are Nvidia now, I see shadowplay recordings all the time, AV1 should just work in Vegas, users shouldn't have to go to a forum to find out how to modify their recording to

How can I use Voukoder Pro? Do I have to purchase it? What are the advantages for using Voukoder Pro over Voukoder basic. Is Voukoder Pro worth using when I mainly render to HEVC and I want to render to AV1 in the future and I want o AV1 to be my

RE: Potential Support For VP9 & Opus

RE: AV1 encoding - is using CPU better than GPU for GeForce RTX 4070?
Yes, I know that CPU upgrade is not so necessary. I know that I can achieve maximum 30% of progress in performance based on the content. I don't know if Voukoder supports GPU encoding, that's why I consdier both CPU encoding using Voukoder or GPU

RE: Nvidia App Beta: AV1 Recordings cannot be imported - VP21
@RogJ if your setup is high performance enough, capture hevc which is similar in quality to av1 but more mature. Av1 and hevc require similar resources for playback. The only real advantage of av1 is that unlike hevc and avc, it's royalty free. But

RE: Latest Best Qual Render Setting
Is your source footage greater than 1080p? If so render to that resolution. If not test rendering to 1440p to see if YouTube gives a better codec and quality. Not sure it matters whether you choose HEVC or AVC as it all gets reencoded. I'd avoid AV1
