RE: Vegas 21 (315) Lag when handling clips (Trimming and Moving)
What version were you using? You said you skipped 300 and 314- did you also skip 21.315? 22.93 is a refined version of 21.315 in my opinion. The old versions like 21.208 used so4compound decoder for HEVC (and benefited from Intel QSV decoding).

RE: [Closed] VEGAS Pro 21 Build 108 General Discussion
Out of curiosity, has there been any performance increase playing HEVC 4:2:2 files such as canon clog3 footage without building proxies? That's the only thing that would entice me to upgrade. I'm pretty sure there isn't. I still wish for the day

Hardware training recommendations
I am a doctor who has done amateur videos and then used Vegas for years to edit and produce. I can make a reasonable final product. In the advent of PTZ cameras and streaming I need training on this and plan to buy a bigger kit of equipment. A

Computer Upgrade
Hi guys, I’m planning to upgrade my (almost) 6 year (PC parts bought 4th September, 2017) video editing/Gaming PC (AKA The Rocket Ship) and I have really been trying to decide which way to go. Do I remain with AMD or go with Intel? As in, going from

RE: Potential Support For VP9 & Opus
@RogerS VP9/AV1 + new render engine. The excessive GOP's on YouTube often 250, but I've seen 304 affect scrubbing but seems fine otherwise. This is 4K24 AV1 from YT on a 4K timeline, 3 staggered tracks with blended masking, playing at up to 8x

RE: DV external Capture option now missing in Options/Video VP 20
Seems like a step backwards, no? Still capturing DV nowadays, is indeed a step backward...When you still live in the past use software (and hardware) of the past like VP17, no direct need to upgrade to Vp20. Also VP17 and VP20 could live and work

Hardware updates
Think editing somehow could become a bit faster on my computer. It seems a bit slow sometimes. You have to wait for it to finish after adding or moving things around. Timeline need to be rewritten, transitions/effects are not shown correct in

did you follow the instructions? Did you post the required information in the sample project? Have you compared with others who have posted there? I recently upgraded my much overused RX480 8GB with a RX 6700XT. I got a 3x improvement in the sample

Does Vegas Pro 21 need internet access every time when started?
Hi all, Long time Vegas Pro user here (since Vegas Pro 13 all the way up to Vegas Post 19). I plan on upgrading to Vegas v 21 that I will install on a laptop that most of the time will not have reliable internet access. And that's the catch here:

Video rendering causes my computer to black-screen and restart
Hi all, I recently got Vegas 20 to upgrade from my old Vegas 13 (yes, I know, hella old, but I've just started making videos with some regularity). I am creating a 1 Hour, 15 min video that I want to render, and whenever I do, it goes well for a

I'm on 20.208 still. Can anyone comment on the stability of 22.194? I'm still experiencing WAY too frequent crashes working with HVEC 422 footage specifically from Canon R5's and Sony footage even with proxies. In fact I've never NOT experienced

Yeah, I do find it hard to justify paying over AU$1,300 for a graphics card, if I’m to be honest. Compared to my current RX 580, the RTX 3060 Ti is quite a significant upgrade for me. And, like you, I have found 8GB of vRAM to be sufficient for what

RE: Vloggers/Youtubers, what camera + capture method do you use for Vegas?
@KKS Hi. I have a sort of similar setup. I currently use a BlackMagic Decklink Mini 4K Recorder, with a Sony HDR AX-53 attached. Though, when I record, I utilize OBS with a custom setting for ProRes: It works well when I use it, though the

RE: [bug] Vegas 20 - RX10 crashes and freezes total GUI
I'm not sure why you spent any money on hardware to address software issues. I've also seen functionality issues with Izotope RX9 so mainly stuck with VP 19 for audio which mostly works. RX10 is VST3 only, right, so you have to work in VP20? I

Apple iPhone 11 Pro, either 1080p60 or 4k60, hence the transcoding to M4V That's your weakest link. Acquisition technology, whether iPhone or GoPro or BlackMagic, always precedes the hardware development curve by a couple of years. When you are

Something separately to this is that I have been really thinking about is the new AMD RX 7900 XT with its 20GB of vRAM, which would be more than enough vRAM for anything. What’s anyone’s non-bias opinion of it? To be honest, having an all AMD PC

RE: Yet Again, GPU Acceleration Nowhere to be Found
Thanks for the updated computer specs. If you are working with 720P footage, you should be "ok". But remember, you are using 2022 software with hardware that while meets the minimum specs, might be problematic with more stressful editing features.
