3D LE for Vegas released.

satish wrote on 11/8/2002, 5:44 AM
Today the 3D LE plugin for Vegas 3.0c has been released. There had been a few discussions earlier regarding this... Thank you Gary for all the help.

Free download and more information at http://www.debugmode.com/pluginpac/

Thanks
Satish

PS: Full release of WinMorph 3.01 will be out in a few days, with a much improved interface with Vegas (works without any video caching, so improved workflow) and with bugfixes. Keep watching. :)

Also, a 'breaking glass' plugin is in development and should be out pretty soon. Stay tuned.

I just uploaded a little sample of having the text scroll off into the distance with proper perspective, like the opening words in the Star Wars movies. It's a simple text media, scrolled with placement keyframes, and tilted with Satish's new 3D plugin. KEWL! The .veg file is available for your review too.

ps. it's been a zany friday after practically no sleep, so it would probably be best to withhold comments on the prose.
watson wrote on 11/8/2002, 11:34 AM
Do you need to have Winmorph, or is this 3d plugin a stand alone for Vegas?

Thank you very much. The sample is wonderful.
Cheers,

The 3-d plugin is totally separate from WinMorph. You may use one or the other or both.

Thanks,

Well, I am just floored! This plugin is fantastic, wonderful, awesome and thank you very much!!!

My heart is pumping with this new found creativity tool.
Major Congratulations.

That is so cool! You guys are the greatest. I'm happy to pay something for this if you decide to put up a shareware ID or something.

Hi,
I downloaded the .veg file and when I try to open it with VV3 (3.0c, bld 138) it blows away VV with an access violation.

Anyone else see this??

BTW .. this plug-in is WAY cool!. Congrats to Satish and Gary ....
Thanks,
Tom

I suppose you have a non-english Windows / work as a user without administrator rights. I had a similar Error, my "Program Files"folder being "Programme". In my case Vegas took it in its stride and replaced the right path.
The plugin is great!
Thank you satish, Gary and whoever contributed!

Hello,
Incorrect both counts. I am in Canada (if that counts for English!) and I do have admin rights. The original .veg file posted with the plug-in (3DLEVol1.veg) works just fine.

I get the same crash also and I'm using XP pro with full administrative rights.

Tom Pauncz wrote on 11/8/2002, 5:01 PM
OK .. I have now tried this on my home system - previous one was at the office.
Different h/w, same level of op. sys and VV3 build and the result is exactly the same.

Crash and burn.

Perhaps the .veg file is corrupt?

Tom

I loaded and within seconds it was doing 3d imaging. Very intuitive. I especially like the doubleclick null settings. Thanks for sharing this plugin.

Did you set RAM in preferences to zero?
jerryd wrote on 11/9/2002, 6:11 AM
This reminds me of why the Amiga became such a successful video tool for so many years. Since there were no big players interested in developing for the Amiga, brilliant users like Satish and Gary used their brilliant talents to the benefit of all users. Since they are willing to take the time to develop plugins, I hope that those of us who do not have those talents will support their efforts in some financial way. Praise is great, but nothing encourages further development than monetary reward!

Jerry: AMEN to that! Hey GG and Satish, do you folks have paypal accounts? Can we fill them up?

I have a paypal account. ;) Thank you for offering but right now i dont want any money for the plugins. I'll do some more work and get a few more plugins into the pack, then you guys can pay me what you wish.

Thanks again

I downloaded the plugin ok and installed ok but after rendering a
small spin move on a logo (preview in media player) the Win200pro
said Vegas performed an illegal operation and will end the program.
The detail list was a mile long. I have never ever had this happen

temporarily until a fix is available.
