For some reason, was unable to download the plugin from the posted website, could SoFO offer a mirror for this plugin? that will realy help.

Thanks.

James, Is it possible to try again and find the values for the parameters that cause a crash? I'm asking if you can find any specific set of values that cause a crash consistently so that i can reproduce it in my machine and fix the problem.

Thanks

I will give it another shot. I had no problem working with it on the
timeline until rendering. Vegas is the only application that was running
at the time with about a 20 minute 720 x 480 avi (digital capture). I
wish I was smart enough to dig out what happened but code savvy I ain't.
I'll be back.

Satish:
Ok, here it is. Re-installed 3DLE no problem. Openned Vegas then imported
logo to timeline. Set preview ram to 0. Applied 3DLE to logo and set up
a few turns. Preview to media player with MPEG2. It worked great.
Next started over again but first applied some pan/crop then applied
3DLE with a few turns. Preview to media player with MPEG2. It worked
great. Next opened current 20 minute project with the same logo already
in the timeline as part of the project. This logo already had some pan/crop
applied. Applied 3DLE with a few turns and then previewed to media player
just that logo with MPEG2. It worked great (tits). It was at this time
that I remembered the ram was not set to zero the first time I tried it.
Perhaps,if possible, to have 3DLE automatically set the ram to zero when
it is activated as blue screens are the result if you do not. Today I have
learned that I am not very smart. Keep on pluggin. (pun) Waiting for the
Winmorph and whatever else you have. I only hope that SOFO can get out of
the economic doldrums and right now it doesn't look good, in fact, if you read
their latest 9-30 investor bulletin things look bleak, dismal, and almost
kaput.

PS: I own 20,000 shares of SOFO stock.

Satish,
Try this on your system:
http://www.vegasusers.com/vidshare/textdisp?chienworks-st-text-scroll.txt

Whether I have RAM set to 0 or not, it blows away VV3c. Consistently ...

Hope you can find the problem..
Thanks for a great tool.

Great Plug-In, similiar to editdv/Cinestream's interface for 3D. the learning curve was about 2 sec.

There appears to be TWO seperate issues.

1. one related to the plug-in itself (?)

2. one related to Chienworks' demo where he offered a veg file to show a Starwars like 3D text scroll.

I have no problem with #1, I do have problem as a couple other people mentioned which causes Vegas Video to crash repeatedly every time any attempt is made to launch Vegas from the downloaded veg file.

Selling should not be a problem, a way can be found out if needed. My main motive is to develop freeware as my full time work is sufficient to keep life going.. :) When PluginPac gets big probably i may start accepting payments but for now it's free.

Gary, it was a reply for their question and it is not my intention at any time in the near future to make money out of my freeware software. That is not a consequence of my visa stuff, and i wonder why you were talking such stuff in a public forum where no one asked for. Please let _ME_ speak for myself.

The crux of my posts say that i am not accepting money, and that is the fact. You can read my replies earlier, and also from the fact that my other works are free.

And finally, if you have any issues with me please write to me directly and not in public forums.

Thanks
Satish

Wow, very nice. I can't wait to play with it. So far I've only seen Chienworks' demo, it looks pretty cool. I noticed a little swimming in the text as it got real small -- are you doing integration over a large enough pixel area here?

Dennis, I still have to work on the core and get it better in quality. I had to release it soon because many users were really waiting to see it in action. The next release will have more features and will be better. ;)

Dennis, i noticed that as i was previewing. I kinda liked it so i didn't do anything about it. If the text was a lot smaller (i used font size 48), i probably would have used a gradient mask to have the text fade out as it neared the top.

I also think it's not as noticeable in the DV version as in the .WMV version.

I tried to link the site to download 3D LE and can't seem to get it to respond. I can see the root page but not the pluginpac page. :-(

Fixed now. sorry about that. Please try the page again, it will work.
