44100Hz project + event FX = abnormal play

I do not know how to describe the problem, so I just state the steps.

  1. Generating a 44100Hz WAV with GoldWave, for example, white noise content.
  2. New a 44100Hz project. (VEGAS Pro 14)
  3. Add the WAV to track and add a event FX for it, for example, volume -6dB.
  4. Play it. The first time, I can hear half volume sound. Play the second time, I only hear the sound of a quarter of the volume. Play the third time, I only hear the sound of one eighth of the volume.
  5. Sometimes the sound will return to normal volume after a few seconds, sometimes not.

If the project is set to 88200Hz, the problem will not happen.

Is this BUG? How can i improve this problem?

This is a familiar problem, I don't recall how I solved it. Have try looking at your audio device software or drivers and the audio device settings and selection within Vegas Pro.

Thank you.

I am not sure if this bug is only present in 32bit wav. seems not ONLY.

That link, KelvinWorks's description is my problem.

At present my solution is set project to 88200, or other then 44100, or don't use event-FX .
