60fps, exactly...

WRPelfrey wrote on 5/10/2018, 1:56 PM

In Vegas Pro 15, the latest build 321, I'm having problems creating 60fps videos, not 59.94, 60! My original presets are gone and I can't recreate them. Can anyone help me create a present for rendering 1080p 60fps progressive?

Just type the right figures in the desired place, look

Kinvermark wrote on 5/10/2018, 2:18 PM

Does that actually work, or does the encoder simply ignore the value and use a default?

What is the end use for 60fps exactly?

Cool. Still curious what the "use case" is for this rather than 59.94. Maybe the OP will chime-in when time allows.

1. OK, it finally worked, THANKS! I just bought this new PC and I have had to delete all kinds of DELL bloat-ware / interfere-ware / Tell-Dell-What-I'm-Doing-Ware to get it to allow this specialized kind of software, Vegas Pro 15, to work properly. It did work this time, 60fps in the rendered video file. I made the render preset and marked it as favorite. I finally got to crunch a video faster than the actual video length on the time line.

2. Kinvermark - The end use is to keep the frame rate the same as the original video, at least until I need it in another format in the future.

3. My new PC

- DELL / Alienware Area-51 R5

- Intel 7980XE (18 cores / 36 Threads)

- 64GB DDR4 HyperX 2933mhz

- NVMe 2TB boot drive

- 2x Nvidia 1080 TI

- 3x 6TB Storage w/256MB Cache

I'm not through building this into a monster editor for all of my Artistic Works. THANKS AGAIN for the help!

OK, understand. Thanks. So this is captured video rather than from a camera?

WRPelfrey wrote on 5/10/2018, 2:56 PM

Yes, computer screen captured. I'm a Severely Disabled Veteran and I screen capture things to learn from so I don't have to waste Internet bandwidth. My signature below has a link that leads everyone to my life long story.

Does that actually work, or does the encoder simply ignore the value and use a default?

I don't think 60.000fps currently works with NVENC. Not sure about QSV.

Vliegvisser wrote on 5/11/2018, 4:57 AM

With me not possible to make 60p with Magix AVC QSV or Magix AVC NVENC.

WRPelfrey wrote on 5/11/2018, 7:28 AM

Yes, I can do 60fps, now, I couldn't before. I also had to update to the latest Nvidia driver package.
