Activation code is incorrect

Sging2 wrote on 5/16/2022, 2:19 PM

I can see dozens of posts on this issue of "Activation code is incorrect" but I have not seen any updated with what the fix was. I get this not only Vegas Pro 19 but DVD Architect as well when importing any form of video into them. Both programs are showing successfully activated so this is related to codecs. I have this set up on my Windows 10 PC ok but I have just purchased a new PC with Windows 11 especially for editing 4K and this is a totally fresh install of all software.

I set up Vegas and all the plugins last week and at that point when I tested it, I was able to import Video but then Friday when I needed to import a clients footage in to start editing work I get this and it point blank refuses to import any video. I see from the forums this issues also happens with Movie Studio as well.

I have raised a call to support and waiting on a reply but heard they can be slow, my main editing day is a Sunday so I have lost two days now of editing time already.

Has anyone found a resolution to this yet. I have just noticed that the below CODEC files where installed about the time I started to get issues on Friday which are Microsoft files.

Thank you.
This sourcevideo plays on my VPro 19 without a problem.
Sometimes needs a certain videocodec permission to be used and the program must have the possiblility to connect to Magix for allowing this codec to be used.
Is that possible with you? Sometimes Windows Security or another program can block the message and/or answer.

Thank you I will take a look at that now in the security settings, the main program activation activates ok but perhaps this a security issue being codecs. Once I or Magix get to the bottom of it I will post the fix here.

Hi All,

As promised I said I would post an update to the resolution. In my case the cause was in the activation box e-mail address field.

I had input my email address and the activation code, it said activated successfully but the the reason I could not import any video was down to the fact there was a space at the start of the e-mail address. I deactivated it as advised by Magix and then on re-activating it I took out the space and all is now well.

This is strange as when I first set it up on my new PC it was fine and I inputted video so not sure how that blank space got in there after. All solved now though and working great.

Thanks for your time in responding to me j-v
