It does the same on version 12. I see it change in the Internal Preferences but always defaults back to original color when restarting. I can't find any way to override the default.

@Former user Since VP15 (?) I’ve noticed I’ve needed to create/save a Windows Layout for any changes I make to the Workspace, or they won’t remain. I have a list of other settings that either do adhere or not. It’s frustrating. Something has changed whereby tweaks to the Workspace aren’t captured. Only saving the Windows Layout will it allow them to be remembered.

I don’t know how far back that goes but yes, that doesn’t work in SVP11, 12, 13 and VP14.
