Add Missing Stream for Selected Events (Improvements)

joelsonforte.br wrote on 1/27/2022, 9:10 PM

For events that have more than one audio stream, the Add Missing Stream for Selected Events feature, during the restore process, overlapping the existing streams on the restored audio events. One stream overlaps the other in the same restored audio event.

After the restore process, moving the events causes the active stream to switch itself to the next stream.

This messes up editing a bit at certain times, for example: it is not possible to select the audio channels of multiple selected events at the same time. It is necessary to manually separate or remove the streams from the restored audio events for it to work properly.

There is a known problem with the add missing audio stream with audio that has more than one stream, as raised late last year in this post: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/restoring-deleted-audio-from-video--133524/#ca832522

It is indeed an oversight. I'll note it, but can't promise any fast fix for it. In the meantime, once you've added back the one channel that it does find, you can duplicate that track for as many times as there are additional channels. Then right-click the event on those additional tracks and choose Channels fom the context menu. This lets you choose the channels you want active for the additional tracks.
