Add text to bottom throughout video

Hi Again... (and I thought I was DONE! lol)

Newbie here... just finished FIRST video project (am graphic artist for print media and newbie to video/Vegas)

So I uploaded my finished video to the "Brainshark site" on Monday... and today I get an email from legal folks that a "disclaimer" text needs to appear at the bottom of the video throughout the entire presentation...

It is probably really simple and easy to do... but I LOVE this forum... and miss chatting with you guys... so I am throwing it out there...

Let me know if you need any other info...

Simple step by step instructions knowing that I know NOTHING about Vegas 10.0 would be GREATLY appreciated...

gg welcome

there are a few ways to dealing with text on eventful backgrounds

Some are
Add a blur to the background
Move/pan the text slowly
Add drop shadow
Add outline cameo
panels or lower thirds
Example

The principles used in compositing Graphics apply the same to video, use your knowledge/skills in graphics just applied to video.
Many of the folks on this forum are Artist be it painters, musicians, etc. even mime artists = message deleted by user.
So feel free to mime as much as you want.

"click on *EVERYTHING*"It seems that every few months, a new Vegas user gets into trouble by toggling the editing options on the tool bar, particularly the "auto ripple" function (also "ignore event grouping").

I would suggest that graphic_girl as well as other new users become familiar with these functions before they "go wild" with "clicking on everything." I'm sure there are other "cautions".

I did a quick Google search on "sony vegas ripple editing" and found the following YouTube tutorial.

Edit: Oh, I forgot something. Probably the most important thing for new users to learn is: the Cntl-z (undo) key is your friend.
