That's not an "error message" - it's an "informative message". That tells you that you need to press ESC to return to the VEGAS editing window. You can still use the spacebar, JKL keys, etc... to play/pause the timeline while in full screen mode.

Yeah, i know, but waiting every time 2 seconds to see text is annoying

@ryzhikkk That message pops up each time when you switch to full screen view. When you would have second monitor you can view full screen permanent on the second screen, so no need to switch back and forth.

I understand this, but i have only 1 monitor, i won't buy another screen just because of this annoying message

What are you waiting for? You can start playback before the message goes away. It doesn't really interfere with anything.

I agree; it is very annoying. I don't think there is a way to get rid of it. It has been talked about here before. But I have 2 monitors these days and that's probably the only solution

I don't understand this problem. If you don't have a second external monitor why are you clicking on "Video Preview on External Monitor? When Vegas doesn't find a monitor to preview on it gives you the helpful "Press Esc to exit full screen mode" message to get you back from your incorrect selection.

Or maybe I've missed something?

@EricLNZ said: "If you don't have a second external monitor why are you clicking on "Video Preview on External Monitor?"

... to view the video at a full screen resolution for the one monitor that's available.

@john_dennis Thanks. So the option wording with the word "External" is misleading. It should preferably read "Video Preview full screen or full screen on External Monitor"?

I always work with two monitors so the problem has never arisen for me. Hence my ignorance.

I do that too to check my work on a laptop. Still for most use I just make the preview window bigger and don't go into fullscreen mode often.

I use Vegas Pro 20 and every time i click on "Video Preview on External Monitor" to see video preview full screen i get this annoying message, i have only 1 monitor

When exactly do you see this message? I can see it only popping up for about two seconds when I click with my mouse in the full screen video preview.

@ryzhikkk That message pops up each time when you switch to full screen view.

This statement from me was not correct.
