Application will not open.

I installed Vegas Pro 16 Suite on my computer. When I try to open the application it keeps bringing up an error box wanting me to send the error information to the developer. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times to no avail. I am running Windows 10 Pro. My Vegas Pro Suite 15 is still working as is 14. I'm to the point of asking for my money back since it doesn't work!

Troubleshoot here, especially part 6: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-vegas-pro-won-t-start-what-can-i-do--104784/

If that doesn't help, please post the details of the crash message.

Third Party Video FX and/or Graphics Card/Driver compatibility, seem to be the main cause of this problem.
What makes it more difficult to diagnose, is that each person will have different FX installed on their computer.
On my computer, I discovered the problem was being caused by my older version of Hitfilm Ignite and the newer version that comes with Vegas Pro 16 Suite. I uninstalled my older version of Hitflim Ignite and also did a full program reset for VP16, and also did a re-boot of my computer - after this, the program loaded correctly.

There was also something weird happening with my Graphics Card - I am still using a much older Nvidia GTX570.
I turned off GPU Acceleration in Options/Preferences/Video.
After doing this, all crashes stopped.
Later on, I turned GPU Acceleration back on and so far everything is still OK.

I would recommend you have a close look at all Video FX you have ever installed for Vegas Pro.
Uninstall all Video FX, including the new ones that come with Vegas Pro 16 Suite.
Get Vegas Pro 16 working first.
Then re-install each Video Effect one at a time, making sure to continually boot up Vegas.
If Vegas suddenly stops working, you will then know which FX are causing the problem.

There are many other threads about this topic already posted on the forum.
Each thread offers different things to try.
Because you are using the Suite version, I thought what happened to myself might help you.
