White is Grey without enough exposure. ;) That was so moving that with my mind wiped, I immediately clicked on the Little Hurricane clip that came up at the end. Then I was mesmerized with drumming, followed by finding Missile - Dorothy...

i'm sorry, but i don't understand...

that said, i have worked on a great many 'art' video's, some with internationally renowned artists which i didn't understand even AFTER having the artist attempt to explain it to me ;-( but hey, i was just following instructions.

since the first amiga based video installation i saw in an art gallery i've wondered where anyone got the idea that video was art - THERE IS an art to video, but really, pretty shots, fx, and no amount of sound design is ever going to make video into art - but i do admire the art in the making of....

While watching this, I kept wondering "is this serious? or...?" But the end credits gave me closure.

I don't speak French, but Google Translate helped me see that the "finger" and the "eye" each got their own credits. And "Des Moines" surely sounds French, but what could "C'est parodie" mean?

So after studying the end credits, I was able to appreciate it for what it is :-) . Some nice shots, great music for the genre, fun.

You should have been 18 in 1968.

No need to apologise Leslie, you could have just said you "don't understand" and be done.

Now I'm understanding your "photo" signature a bit "deeper". Just how far up is your head?

The artwork just makes me question, gives me ideas, confronts me on my preconceptions. I always ask questions about stuff I don't get.

I'm glad I watched the piece and have ferreted away some new ideas for my next project. But hey, I visit art galleries and get more stimulation.

ushere wrote on 3/12/2017, 4:32 AM

so far that i have to wear sunglasses ;-)

i have been involved with art and artists for longer than i care to remember. i have the pleasure of calling a number of internationally renown ones as friends, have worked with many whose work and motivation have left me astounded, equally, i have worked with a great number who would have been better off in some other profession.

i to regularly visit galleries, etc., question what i see, gain ideas, but all too often come away feeling i've been conned yet again...

You? Conned, can't imagine that for one moment.

i'm gullible - i once bought a jvc d9 vtr in the belief it was going to be the equal of digibeta, an ikegami hl79e that only needed the power board replacing, which it did, but cost the equivalent of a new sony m7, and the list goes on, and on...

as for people, well, thankfully i'm surrounded by equally old farts as myself, though i still do some work for the new generation who i like to think have more depth than they display, but, as i wrote, i'm easily conned ;-(
