Audio ducking

I bought Vegas Production Asst for Vegas Pro 15 but have been told its not compatible and will be reimbursed.

However while I had it, I was able to try out the audio duck with voiceover and background soundtrack and it worked really well. Is there any way that I can recreate that "automatically" within Vegas 15.

Thanks Margaret

Vegasaur has a very good audio ducking feature with silence detection: http://vegasaur.com/voice-over If you tweak the settings it can get you a very nice result, or a very nice starting point if you're picky.

Also Excalibur, but the voiceover functionality is a little less featured and I'm not sure about it's current status with relation to VP15.

Just in case anyone else is looking at buying the Vegas Production Asst for Vegas Pro 15, Magix has a patch so that it will not be compatible. Can't comment on it though as I have uninstalled it and I'm trying out the Vegasaur which seems to work just fine for me.

How does Vegasaur compare to Production Assistant, other than price? Are they the about the same?

Vegasaur is simply the best add-on ever created for Vegas. It's worth every cent invested. To be honest, if it was not for VegasAur, I would not be using Vegas anymore.

In the short time I had it, Production Assistant looked really impressive. But Vegasaur seems to do things so much more simply and slickly - and Pro 15 likes it - and it doesn't crash!
