During playback, when resizing a window or making audio adjustments (volume, pan, or in an VST3 audio plugin), the playback stutters and glitches. Any idea what setting might address this?
Oh bummer. I've been a long time user of VP for audio sweetening on films.
But for the hefty price of staying up to date with the VP versions, it's quite discouraging to not even have VST 3 support yet. Anyone aware of a schedule of when it might be supported?
Grounding in my studio is good. Actually, I recently upgraded with some of the latest hardware available. Other programs I use such as Davinci Resolve Studio, Adobe Suite,... are working very smoothly. Just having issues with VP 17 and 19. ( I have both installed).
I'm actually only using VST2 plugins on VP, and it seems to only be an issue with the visual interfaces of the plugins. For example, I have one video track and one audio track. I have a 6 band EQ plugin on the audio track, and it processes and plays back just fine, as long as the window of the plug in is minimized.
Here's an example:
Thanks for any tips of a direction I should be looking into.
Thanks for the replies. Here is my hardware, if it helps.
Windows 11 Pro 64-bit. CPU Intel Processor 3.80GHz, Gen 11. RAM 64.0GB. Motherboard ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME Z490-A (LGA1200) . Graphics card 4095MB NVIDIA Quadro M4000 . Storage SSD drives. Audio: MOTU Audio Express. Vegas Pro 17 and 19 installed.
I have the same experience when it comes to using vst plugins. The Vegas stock plugins included. It doesn't matter if I use the computer on-board realtek soundcard or an external audio interface. It always stutters as soon as I try to change some effect parameters during playback. I just gave up on any audio processing in Vegas and do it all in external audio editor.
I have exactly the same problem; audio glitches and gets worse once I edit on the FX interfaces of the Waves plugins. Hugely dissapointing as I recently bought a Vegas 19 license and know I'm faced with audio not working properly. I've tried several things, like switching graphics card (from Nvidia to onboard AMD readon) and different memory/buffer sizes but to no avail. Like with you, when I minimize the FX window, the audio plays much better, still, sometimes glitches, but much less/almost not.
Like Misohoza mentions, I'm now thinking of just editing in another program, finalize the audio there and then put the finalized audio in Vegas to edit the video along with it. Far from ideal.
Anyway, just to let you know you're not the only one with this issue.
