Audio (or actually the video) out of sync after rendering

Hi, I'm new here :-) Just upgraded to Vegas Pro 19, have used Movie Studio for many years, last version 17. I see many have the same problem as me when I look through the forum (and search on Google), but I can't find the solution. Problem is that audio and video is not in sync after rendering in Vegas Pro 19. The same projects renders perfectly in Movie Studio 17 (or any of the other versions I have owned) I have testet on several of the old projects made in Movie Studio. I have tried to match the project settings and the render settings in Movie Studio, but VP9 still don't render the projects as expected. I see some ar talking about a a setting including SO4 (can't remeber exactly what it called) but any way, I don't find this setting in VP9...

My projects typically consists of videos recorded on different devices. The one I'm working in now has three cams, one Iphone, one Samsung and last one I don't remeber. Audio is MP3. The first part I made and rendered in Movie Studio 17, this was perfect, then i bought the upgrade to VP9, and then video was not in sync with the audio. Especially on the recording fra the iPhone 12 (standard HD setting)

Anyone have any clue what to (other then jumping back to Movie Studio 17 where every thing I rendered was in sync) :-)

Especially on the recording from the iPhone 12 (standard HD setting)

Experienced Vegas users state that video from iPhones is VFR (variable frame rate) which VP does not like, and needs to be converted to a constant frame rate. Handbrake is usually mentioned to convert to CFR.

Thank you for you reply. I'll have to try out this solution ASAP 😀

This solution did not work for me. I installed Handbrake to convert the video file to CFR format, but the video recorded on the iPhone is still out of sync after rendering.

I went back to Movie Studio 17 and made the project all over again there, and after rendering everything was perfect in sync. I think it's strange that I can't do this in my newly bought VP19 :-(

Are there any other solutions I can try to make this work ?

@H-Musikk

"Are there any other solutions I can try to make this work?"

Post a few hundred MB of your worst performing video on a cloud share and share the link on this forum...

...so others can see if the issue is pervasive with other installations of Vegas Pro-550.

PS

I'm aware that 1/3 of the population of the known universe has iPhone 12s, but, they don't have your video and your audio captured in your situation.
