If you play the rendered file in Vegas is it quieter? How do the waveforms compare? What format are you rendering? Need a lot more info to help.

Hi,

I cut sample video files together in Vegas, audio volume in Vegas is OK,

1=1 to original video file.

After render is the audio volume quieter than original sample video.

Render option is Sony AVC/MVC - Internet 1920x1080-30p

see screenshots below

As a trouble shoot-shoot test, render an audio only PCM file, to eliminate a codec issue.

Have try render as audio to mp3 format and audio was OK volume 1 to 1 as in vegas/original video.

After render as video, settings in my screenshots audio was again quiter :(

Can You please help solve this problem?

What if you use MAGIX AVC instead of Sony AVC?

The same problem

Are you sure it is not the playback device that is changing the volume on certain codecs?

Otherwise, the AC-3 Dolby 'Studio' encoder had a 'fixed' loudness level that could not be changed. The AC-3 'Pro' encoder had loudness options. Maybe the preset being used is to blame.

@Stefan-Duris

If you open all the different rendered files in Sound Forge and run Tools / Statistics, do all the files have the same RMS values?
