BCC 10 / Boris Red - Vegas 14

I am avoiding the Vegas 14 trial for the time being due to the variety of issues people are reporting and would like to know if there is someone who has BCC and/or Red if they work or will need updates to work in Vegas 14. I know that 14 Suite has a few BCC units but wonder if those have been modified to work with Vegas or as a owner of BCC 10 and Red will they just work.

It also would be very useful under the Important Posts section to have list of what add-ons/tools work, those that don't work, options to resolve, items removed. It would consolidate what the threads have into a nice concise source instead of having to read everything and would bring information quickly instead of posting in threads or contacting Magix support.

Another thing I have noticed is the tips to get a quick response to posts. Item 1 and 3 make perfect sense... item 2 should be in the users profile for a Magix tech to easily access.  System specs/ hardware should be easily accessed by support instead of people posting it over and over if there are multiple issues.

I'm planning to work on an index of FAQs, important posts and tips after we see what the forthcoming community platform update brings. It's supposed to come this week. At the moment the "Important Posts" section in the Vegas Pro forum is already too large.

Thanks for the response NIck and the work you have done in replying to the various issues. Is this forum a COTS app or something created from scratch? I agree that the important posts are too large as well and info should be specific and consolidated. Threads/posts can and do have more info then the orginal subject and make it hard to determine what is useful and what is not.

Look forward to having an easy way to get info without reading every single post along with a good search.

A document  of this info would be great and instead of having info dispersed all over the place it would be in a easy to access place. I've always wondered why this was not done over the years. How-tos/ tutorials / scripting sources / now broken links were just posted in forums and nothing was gathered and instead Sony offered their options. If the new direction is about embracing community.... there should be tutorials / scripting achives and how to's/ better documentation.. Basically something that contains the real info and not links... the old forum had vasts amount of info however a large part was linked to sites that no longer exist. A real knowledgebase would be in the best interest of everyone and Magix should embrace it.

Boris red and BCC10 works well here. But I haven't tried all the filters.

It was developed in-house by MAGIX and codec from the ground up. I have no idea why they chose to do that, when there are so many mature, richly-featured community platforms available. Perhaps there were technical limitations with them (e.g. integrating the old SCS posts), or perhaps they just wanted a unique look/no license fee/interesting challenge/more control.
