Hey this Bezier Mask fx is really useful, but I'm seeing what must be unwanted behavior when I create an fx mask and then feather it with the feather style set to either "in" or "out". The feather creates really obvious, noticeable banding. Checked the image in PS and it's baked in -- the feather is creating big steps in brightness, rather than a smooth gradient.
Switch to "both" for feather style, and then the gradient smooths out (like, for example, what you get when you create a gradient using the media generator). There is a workaround (at least for what I'm doing -- creating gradients over skies): make the mask bigger, and then push half of it off screen so that "both" acts like "out". But I thought I'd put this out there.
If you want to see this in action, put a white solid color on your timeline in 4K (8-bit). Add the Bezier Mask fx. Using the default settings, switch the feather style to "out" and then start sliding the feather style toward max. The banding isn't subtle. Now switch to "both" and the gradient smooths considerably.
VP17 current build. Thanks otherwise for an awesome tool. :)
