Black screen after rendering AVC (Blu-Ray template)

Recently upgraded to VP 17 build 284. In the process of creating a Blu Ray, I render about a 3.5 hour project out to a Blu Ray compliant AVC file. The results are the same with both the Magix and Sony AVC codecs. After just under 15 minutes, the screen is black. The file shows to be the right length in DVD architect, but nothing but black for the rest of the video. Oddly enough, I was able to render a MP4 file with the Magix codec, and that played fine. Ultimately, I just let DVD import and covert that. Not the end of the world, but way less than ideal, and takes a very long time. Just another reason I want to end disc delivery to clients.

Anyone else encounter this?

I am suggesting it might be a LENGTH issue as opposed to a certain event issue. But that's fine. I am out of here.
