Blue Cat meter automation envelope is out of sync

Vegas Pro 10.0e. I'm creating an automation envelope with the Blue Cat Digital Peak Meter to use in Excalibur's voiceover ducking. It's an extremely cool feature of Excalibur that it can take values from this envelope. However the envelope is a few frames ahead of the actual sounds. I have the decay slider in the meter set to minimum.

Anyone know why the envlope might be out of sync and if it can be prevented?

No but wouldn't that be pretty easily fixed?
Turn off envelope lock and slide event(s) a couple of frames.

Bob.

Thanks Bob. Yes, I can work around it, but I just wondered why it might be happening. It would be a little more understandable if the envelope was lagging rather than preceding the audio. It's preceding by the audio by about 0.3 sec. Seems like a bug to me.
