[BUG] Color Curve Tangent Handles Dissapear

andrewcg wrote on 11/29/2023, 5:22 PM

Hi, I have a question for you seasoned Vegas editors. When I adjust tangent handles in Color Curve beyond the interface box, the handles dissapear. I can't readjust the curve because the handles are no longer selectable. Is there any way to see/select handles that are beyond the box? I'm using V21 trial.

Have you tried clicking on the curve?

Just tried it but didn't work. I'm using the Color Grading panel.

@andrewcg You will have to collapse the tangent by double-clicking the visible white dot in the upper-right-hand corner.

I see. Looks like there's no way to readjust the curve without collapsing/resetting it? Hopefully it can be fixed. Seems like an interface issue :-\

@andrewcg @Robert Johnston

It's not a tumor! Just drag the endpoint until the handle comes into view.

@john_dennis Lol! Thanks for the video. But if I do that, I cannot grade accurately because the level values will change when the end point is moved.

Who "grade(s) accurately"? This is video. You're not working for NASA, are you? Or possibly worse, broadcast TV?

Big Note

The end point will stop moving when you move it back to the edge of the rectangle.

@john_dennis Haha I wish I worked for NASA. I edit office training videos and often get underexposed/overexposed footage so level adjustment is very important for me. I have been using Level Fx and planning to switch to Color Curve for better flexibility/result. When I move the end point and handle to make it visible, my level values will be changed already. I mean I might as well reset the curve then.

@john_dennis In my test, I dragged the handle to the top of the screen. It couldn't be dragged back down far enough by dragging the endpoint. The handle couldn't come back into view. I took the least destructive method.
