BUG - Slip Tool with "Video Event Edge Edit Frames" unchecked

NickHope wrote on 2/5/2018, 11:17 PM

This bug was pointed out to me by personal message.

When the Slip Tool is used with "Video Event Edge Edit Frames" (on the View menu) unchecked, the aspect ratio is doubled (i.e. double width).

I see this bug in VP12, 13, 14 & 15. In VP10 it works correctly.

Yep. I see it Nick. Looks like Vista Vision or maybe even Polyvision -- But what's the advantage of unchecking "Video Event Edge Edit Frames" (on the View menu) ? Never thought to do that.

I've never unchecked that option either, and I don't see any advantage to it.

Actually when it is checked (On), you see the first and last frames of the clip in preview, and when it is "Off" - you see actual frame of event in cursor position of the clip.

This is very handy when you have final cut edit synced to music track, and you want to change the in and out points of the event without moving it on timeline or changing the duration of cut.

I received a reply from Support that included this:

"just logged this as a bug in our backlog.  Thank you for reporting this issue."

New version released, previous bugs are welcoming me again. Well done, Magix. Great work on updates.
