can anyone think of a plug that converts stereo to mono ?

I need to be able to send stereo signals to mono in order to work around vegas output routing issues. I am mixing on the console, but want to automate some aux sends. Trouble is, in order to send track one to output one I have to pan it, so the fx send wont necessarily go to the output I want, if I have a plug that will make mono from both sends, Ill be OK

I guess I should probably read this whole thread, but after reading a few posts, I'm scratching my head, wondering why you don't:
1. Duplicate the track.
2. Right click first track, select CHANNELS|LEFT ONLY
3. Right click second track, select CHANNELS|RIGHT ONLY
Then you have two mono tracks, identical.
or, if the information is the same on R/L, just select CHANNELS|COMBINE
then they can be bussed/routed/processed in any number of ways.
