Can't open mp4 files in Vegas Pro 12

These are files shot in 4k with Lumix GH4. Editing as proxy files. I can open files to play in Windows, but they refuse to go onto the timeline. Any suggestions appreciated. Other half of this interview recording from Skype in Evaer. Video file very jerky and sometimes green. I have decided never to record a Skype interview with Evear again. What a shamozel. Oy!

Vegas 12 pre-dates the gh4, so I doubt it supports the 4k files. Vegas 13 supports gh4 4k files, but 24p files are imported with triple length audio so you have to trim ( not really a big problem). Vegas 14 supports gh4 4k dci 24p files properly.

Have done several projects shot in 4K, edited as proxy files in Vegas Pro 12 and rendered out to 1080. I run into this problem with Skype interviews with remoteside recorded in Evear and local recorded trcorded in Vegas. The files somehow become corrupt.

GH4 UHD/4K files behave the same in VP12 as they do in VP13. I have edited them a lot in VP12 and I use Warper's script to trim them.
