Is there a way to open videos in mp4 format ? Thanks

The normal way by opening in the project and adding to the timeline out of the Vegas explorer or Project Media bins
The program opens all Mp4's with your MediaInfo and heavier ones 4K without any problem or limit.

Did you have a problem with that?
If so, does your hardware meet the specs for this program?

What "camera" created the file?

Really. Do we have to play twenty questions?

I've tried these solutions but they don't work, I get an error message when I try to import the file.

My hardware specs : 1080 GTX - I7 6700K CPU - 16 GB RAM - Windows 10

And that message would be?

Use Happy Otter Scripts / Import Assist to re-encode this problematic file.

https://tools4vegas.com/

Format profile    : Main@L6 seems totally unnecessary for 1080p60 video

OK thanks John. But to sum up, Vegas 18 is unable to open MP4 files without converting them?

Vegas seems to be unable to open that crap file without converting.

Clearing the "Blocked" Box and applying allows Vegas to open the file without incident.

I Cleared the "Blocked" Box. I can't open it. Chat did you do after you had Clearing the "Blocked" Box ?
