PROBLEM
VEGAS WILL NOT OPEN WITHOUT CRASHING. I can't see the splash window long enough to determine where it crashes. Sometimes the splash window will not display at all.

Over the weekend, I purchased a new desktop. I had the C: drive "cloned" so that I wouldn't have to install all new product/licence/etc. Perhaps this has to do with Pro 18 crashing upon splash window display.
My account on the website states

It appears as if the program is installed, but something is preventing it from opening.
ACTIONS:
1. Uninstall/reinstall, restart computer.
2. Reset settings.
3. Checked the forum.
4. Sent error/crash problem details via crash window.
I have a feeling I'm overlooking something simple.
What do you suggest?
