Can't open vegas pro 20 on windows 11 ,
When it is installed, I try double clicking and try running in administrator, nothing happens... and I can't see where it opens up.. When I try to delete it, it says vegas has been opened 4 times.. Process id 16960 18112 14676 18212 Anyone know about it??
I sometimes have a similar issue withe opening Vegas Pro 20 particularly just after rebooting the computer. What works for me is to open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del) and End Process any and all Vegas Pro entries under Background Processes. Vegas Pro 20 then opens from the desktop or taskbar icons.
I've seen similar issues with Vegas not opening when clicking the icon.
Fix is to go into your Task Manager (CTL-ALT-DELETE) and scroll down the background and processes listing (you won't see it listed in apps) until you see Vegas and end task for all that is listed.

Whilst I am not currently running Windows 11 on my PC, I believe that I have experienced your kind of problem on my PC under Windows 10, of which I’m presently running on my PC (see my sig below if you want to know my exact configuration). In such situations I have ended the task (ended the VEGAS Pro program in Task Manger) and opened it again with success.
However, if that does not work then I will usually end the explorer.exe task. which closes all running Windows 10 windows, then I’d add explorer.exe to Task Manager again (I haven’t done it in a while or needed to, so I can’t quite remember how to add a task (application/program) in Task Manager; you may have to look that up, unless of course you do remember, in which I’d say “Good on ya, mate!”). I also can't open Vegas Pro 20 on windows 20 after closing the program. I've tried the ctrl-alt-del and killed the process but I still can not get vegas to open. The only way to get it to open is by restarting the computer. Then vegas opens fine and runs no problem but if I close the program y will have to reboot the computer again if I want to open vegas again. I also tried login out of windows and logging back in but it did not work
I work around it by switching to another project either by opening a new project or an existing project but it is very impractical and vulnerable to the integrity of the work by having the program open all the time.
I'm having the same issue, but I don't even see Vegas in the task manager. Just the splash screen like it's loading and then it goes away and....nothing.
same issue as desean T. i cant open vegas. it only loads and closes. but on the task manager it wont show
