Can't render any video except to YouTube from menu

Since performing the update I can't render any video. No problems with audio. Latest is a simple 720x480 mp3 for Architect which doesn't go beyond 0% in rendering. .Mov won't render, nothing will render, but I can render straight to YouTube via menu. Lots of room on the drives. HELP! This is frustrating and is now cutting into my business. I've already committed the projects to VP12 so I can't go back to VP11 to see if they will render there. Any ideas would be helpful and greatly appreciated.
System:
Custom built RAID server system (this is not new, it has always rendered in the past)
Intel i7 Extreme 975@3.33 GHz processor
Win 7 @ 64 bits
12G RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 295

Quickly try this:

On the Customize Template tab for the render option you choose

Set the Encode Mode to Render Using CPU only.

Thanks John. That worked. Apparently the NVIDIA card I have won't function as they advertised it would. I got the job I needed compiled done in time. Thanks again.

Glad you were successful. If you're not ready for a system upgrade, you could try an nVidea 560 or 570. There have been some recommendations for specific brands in recent threads.
