Can't render in 1440p at 60fps (sony vegas pro 10)

SSBMGZUS wrote on 3/10/2017, 10:41 PM

Every time I try to render at 60 fps for this resolution (and presumably anything higher), it says I am low on system memory. It renders up to 50 fps when I messed with my settings. 51 and up seems to not work

My specs are:

OS: Windows 10 64-bit

500GB SSD (OS)

1TB HDD (Storage)

i7-3770

r9 290x (4GB, 512-bit)

16GB 1600Mhz RAM

What render format and settings?

Whoops. Here's a screenshot

I could reproduce your error in Vegas 10, 11, 12. Vegas 12 worked at 29.97p, Vegas 13-453 worked at 2560x1440-60p.

From Vegas Pro 10, you could render to an uncompressed AVI at 2560x1440-60p, then encode to MP4 in Handbrake.

Okay, I'll try that. I may have to upgrade to 14 since I'll be working with larger resolutions a little more

Just a thought.

Have you tried to change the profile from baseline to high?

john_dennis wrote on 3/11/2017, 8:29 PM

Vegas Pro 10 didn't have the "High" option in the Mainconcept AVC/MVC Internet template. Edit: When a custom pixel dimension pair are entered the High option is not presented. Either Baseline or Main would output 2560x1440 up to 30 fps but it couldn't handle 60 fps. The option for 60 fps apparently was available in Vegas Pro 13. If SSBMGGUS could live with 30 fps, that would work in Vegas Pro 10.

I work with mostly video game footage, so I like it to be in 60 fps, unless I'm going for a more cinematic look. Also, I can render in 1440 up to 50 frames. Anything above 50 results in a low memory error
