Can VP show fps playback rate?

When playing a video in Adobe After Effects and I believe Premier Pro, you can see the real-time frame rate of the playback.

For example, if the video clip is 24fps and you have a video card that can't display the frames fast enough, AE will show the frame rate as 18 or 21 fps. If the video card can keep up with the frame rate, AE will show the playback frame rate as 24fps so you know you are seeing the video clip at the correct frame rate.

Does VP have a means to show the actual playback frame rate of the clip I am viewing in the Preview window?

Thanks,
Rich

Right under the Preview Window.

This will vary according to the preview quality chosen

This is embarrassing, I should have known that. Sorry and thank you.

I should add that when AE plays back at a slower then normal rate, the text is shown in RED so it is clear that you are not seeing the correct frame rate. It also labels it "fps", so again it is clear what the number is describing. And lastly, when it is not playing in realtime AE displays in red the words NOT realtime, which is a nice touch.

I still should have known better, but I think Vegas could have been clearer as well IMO.

"... I think Vegas could have been clearer as well IMO."

I too have senior moments, but in this case I'll vote for a cleaner interface rather than having red lights flashing at me all the time.
