Thanks for the offer, but I won't need it now!

I went back to the local Staples yesterday afternoon (armed with the original post with coupon codes) and talked to the cashier I talked with on Tues. and he told me the manager wouldn't honor the coupon codes unless they were directly from Staples.com. I asked to talk with the manager and he said she wasn't there, but another manager was. We went and talked with him, I showed him the printout of the coupon codes, explained the situation and he looked at it for about 5 seconds, looked at the cashier and said, "Take care of him!" My reaction? BIG smile!

Thanks again for all the ideas and help!

I have been to two stores in the Oklahoma City area and both managers have told me that they will not honor the $50 off without a physical coupon. Any suggestions?

It's not a physical coupon. It's a coupon code which they already know.

Unless you need it right away, I would wait until the deal repeats itself. Then I would act on it right away. If you look at my post up top you will see that I went through a mock checkout at 10:00AM last Sunday morning and the $40 off coupon worked without a problem. They also had them in stock at that time.

One other problem with waiting too long is that Staples will end up sending you a cancellation letter when they get low on stock (which is usually rather quickly).

OfficeMax will probably have this deal before long as well. That's where I bought mine last time (online).

If you have to have it now, you could ask one of the posters here who bought it in a local Staples if they will send you a scan of one of their store receipts so you can bring it to one of the two Oklahoma City stores you mentioned as proof.
