Choppy/Distorted Preview

Greetings,

My Preview window in Movie Studio 17 Platinum is choppy and distorted. I did the following:

Draw a loop region over the section of the timeline you want to play. To do this, click the slider above the timeline and drag it to the right.

Press Shift+B to render the loop region in your computer's RAM.

Play your project.

If you want to preview a larger section of your video, go into the options menu in VEGAS, select "Preferences" > "Video" and increase the Dynamic RAM Preview setting.

This didn't work. I don't really know what level I should set my Dynamic RAM Preview setting at, so any suggestion is helpful.

Better than Shift+B and increase the amount of Dynamic RAM is, for more than 1-2 sec loop region, to use Selectively Prerender Video ( Shift +M)
Try not to increase the amount of Dyn RAM preview because that amount is not longer available for other tasks like previewing.
BTW. My Dyn RAM Pr. is always set to 0

Hmmm...tried shift-M and resetting my Dyn-RAM to 0 and now my preview screen in blank. I've never had this problem before.

I did reset everything which is a good thing. I changed a lot of the settings. I set the DYN RAM to zero. I can now see the preview, but it's still choppy. I appreciate your help. Unless you have another idea, my next stop is TECH Support.

I cannot have another idea because you don't tell your:
- used hardware
- type of project
- used sources ( MediaInfo)
- possible changed settings of VMS Pl 17
