Clicking on newly activated Boris BCC Video FX crashes Vegas Pro 18

Greetings All,

I've just bought Boris Continuum OFX plugin, installed it on my win 10 desktop and successfully activated it.

I can now see all BCC plugins in my Video FX tab fine.

But clicking on any BCC plugin crashes my Vegas 18 pro. All the other plugins seems to be behaving fine.

I've tried restarting the desktop. I've also tried running Vegas pro as Administrator. But nothing seems to be working.

Any suggestions please?

@crazyapple You could try resetting Vegas as described in section 14 here.

Thanks @Jack S. Your suggestion prompted me to check and run updates for my nvidia graphic driver. After updating it, clicking BCC FX items isn't crashing Vegas. Thanks a lot!

I just have same problem yestarday, but it easy to fix - there is movie on YouTube how to fix it - just type down missing *.dll file name, and you will geto to youtube movie. But there is worse problem with Boris Fx Continuum for Vegas, if you will isntall it, you will never be able to use more than one FX plugin on single track. That is why i left Vegas software and finally decided to go for Premiere Pro. Sad, very sad!

It would be much more desirable if you confined the issues to just the one post rather than cross-posting.

That is why i left Vegas software ...

If you are no longer using Vegas Pro, I am struggling to find what the problem is.

BTW, I've not experienced any issues in Vegas Pro over many versions with using multiple BCC VFX on the one video event and even including with other VFX from other companies like native VEGAS FX.

My BorisFX plugins have been working fine since I posted last time. When they failed a couple of times, I updated the NVIDIA drivers and it worked fine after that. But today it again started resulting in the same crash. And updating graphics driver hasn't helped. I'm wondering what else can I do.

I've gone through the posts originally suggested by @Jack S, and the only option I can think of is to reset Vegas Pro. But then I will lose all my settings and windows layout and other personalisations :(. Hence trying to find another solution if any.

Upon receiving the crash, when I submit the problem report, it is pointing me to download and install an older build (VP18, build 482), when I'm already on VP18 build 527. Any idea if I need to downgrade?

Just another update. I reset my VP18 using section14 described in this post, and the problem persists. Any suggestion would be very helpful.

I have had no problems using multiple BorisFX plugins on individual tracks.

Same here and I do it often.
