Clips Transition From One to the Other Choppy.

I'm currently using Vegas Pro 14 on my desktop computer running Windows 10. The problem seems to be with the preview window where you can view the project you are editing. Once I place a clip into the timeline and try to play the project, the beginning of the clip takes a while to start, but then runs smoothly. This makes fast edits completely unable to be viewed through the preview window. If i render the project there is no issue with clips lagging at the start.

We need to what’s on your timeline and what hardware you’re using.

specs:

Processor: Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40 GHz

Operating system: Windows 10

Memory: 12,0 GB

Sound Card: NVIDIA High Definition Audio

Graphics Card: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 970

The issue happens with any type of video clip, downloaded off youtube, filmed with own camera or captured with capture card.

If you mean the Preview Quality settings, I've tried all the qualities, even on the lowest quality the problem is the same.
