Constant Black Preview and render flicker

You can have a look at the video and see all my settings, I have tried absolutely everything that I can think of... Changed the settings countless time, pasted to a new project... Uninstalled... What was a four hour video to make has took 8 hours for me to try and render.

Oww and my system specs: I7 4790K, R9 390, 8GB DDR3, SSD, HDD

Welcome!

How did your rendered file look?

Is there a special reason you render only a selected region and not the project itself?

What is the MediaInfo of your used sources. Look how to provide them here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/

The rendered file had black flickering and whole chunks of footage where black. Its generally linked to any of the black flickering in the preview. I pretty much selected the whole project, if I select any thing or not I still get the same issue.

The video is Variable Frame Rate (VFR) maybe from a phone. From many posts on this forum over the years, Vegas Pro is not all that VFR friendly. One of the main recommendations has been to first transcode your video media from VFR to Constant Frame Rate via a utility such as HandBrake or similar.

This is just one possibility for the problem.

Suggestion: try transcoding a sample of the footage from VFR to CFR and then see if a render of the sample is successful or not.
